Manos Con Alas Ministries A Christian faith-based non-profit California corp, dedicated to bringing health services & simple shelter to the underserved. Inspired by Isaiah 58

Manos Con Alas Ministries, meaning Hands with Wings, is a Christian faith-based non-profit California corporation, dedicated to bringing health services and simple shelter to the impoverished in Mexico, the US and other countries, such as Haiti. Our teams of volunteer health care professionals travel to Mexico every two months to donate needed medical, dental, chiropractic, optometric, podiatric,

massage, acupuncture and other health care services to the poor. We perform all services free of charge or obligation. Our faith drives us to deliver this service because we are called to live according to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We’re called to help merely because they are in need, and because we possess the talents and make the time to give back give back of those talents to humanity. We feel it is our responsibility to share those talents and treasure the Lord has so generously given us. Help us to do our work by joining one of our regular fly-in teams. We use private aircraft to access our mission sites more quickly and efficiently with a minimum of fatigue for our volunteer doctors and health care providers. We are actively seeking private pilots with available aircraft to carry our volunteers to mission sites. We always need doctors, dentists and other health care providers, as well as Spanish translators, cooks and even trades people and handymen to complete building work projects, and to maintain our mission clinic sites and equipment. Please join us!

Our fabulous clinic on Feb 8 in Ensenada served so many needy people of Maneadero Ensenada. We had 6 dentists, an audiologist, 2 opticians, a speech therapist, and a chiropractor serve up 47 dental, 68 ear, 67 vision, 50 chiropractic, and 12 speech therapies.
Flying was not possible due to weather, but God granted a 6 minute return border line at San Ysidro, a lifetime LOW for me.

We are in the process of signing up volunteers for our May 16-18 outreach in the small agricultural town of Vizcaino, BCS Mexico. I served here for years with Mexican Medical Ministries and Missions to Baja, and met many lifelong friends like Rick Weaver, Capt. Jim Nielson, Wayne Martin DDS, Carlos Fryre, Mark and Ben Palm, “Ozzie” Ozborn and daughter Joyce Hartman, and the hosts of this upcoming outreach… Manuel and Norma Perez. We will fly out on Friday and return Sunday the 18th Mother’s Day. You will be back in time to have dinner with Mom and the other important Moms in your life. Please let us know if you can serve with us soon.

Our ministry is temporarily suspended in its work in Baja due to Covid 19, but we are still working on our week long July trip (11-18) to Ensenada in partnership with “His Healing Hands” of San Luis Obispo. We are planning to build out a permanent clinic in a church in Maneadero for years of future service. Although plans are delayed, we know it will happen in HIS timing and funding.
We have most the Dental, Chiropractic, Optical, and Medical equipment ready to install on US side, and a wonderful new partner IRS Demo (Carlos Herrera)of South Gate CA to help with border importation of the equipment.

Flew into CABO for a week of Ministry with serving three mission teams. Way Cool Angels tonight and Wed. Then with Brian and Jackie Ruple, and Dave and Jennie Limpert, local missionaries serving locally to Caribe and other villages including a rehab center. Our eyeglasses and sunglasses avoided import duty “gracias a Dios”.

I was told it’s “Giving Tuesday” following the days of the the acronyms:
Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
If you want to give to a NGO non profit where 90% of donations go back to providing services for Bajas neediest citizens, you have found the one.
Compare that to Red Cross, United Way, and other “big boys” .
Kars 4 Kids.com if you look it up, this serves mostly Jewish children in USA with religious and other education. There’s NOTHING wrong with this and other groups, but look harder to see disclosure of WHERE the money goes, what it does, and how much of your donation by PERCENTAGE of income actually gets to the people getting services !!
How do you want your hard earned charity contribution money used at the Holidays and all next year?

Manos Con Alas Ministries has:
1. No paid staff.
2. Non reimbursed “working board” members
3. Volunteers pay own way to go on trips for the pleasure of serving, after loosing thousands in lost time and business at home.
Most of our income buys supplies, equipment for doctors, pays for vehicle insurance, gasoline, and aviation fuel for transporting of doctors and volunteers to and from our Mexico clinics and beyond.
Give to your Church or Synagogue yes, and to the charities close to your heart, but we ask that you humbly pray and get guidance for some remaining gifts this holiday season.
