In 2020 I had to cut off a long friendship. The level of toxicity was oppressive and I needed it to end.

I grieved for a long time. Slowly, as healing took hold, I saw how much brighter and better my life was becoming. Her poison still seeps into my head from time to time, but now I observe it and let it pass on through. It no longer belongs to me.

It takes time, but allow yourself space and time to heal from a toxic relationship, no matter how much space it once took up in your life. 💜
