BIG things happening at Haven Health Sierra Vista! Our remodel is almost complete and the building looks amazing!

Our Team, headed by Emerson Gooding, our administrator, and Tracy Shilt, our Community Relations, had the opportunity to take the Mayor of Sierra Vista Mayor Clea McCaa, City of Sierra Vista on a tour and we were truly touched by his post. Meet JoAnn Goss, a cook at Haven Health Globe!

JoAnn has been a cook with Haven Health Globe for 6yrs now. JoAnn takes a lot of pride in her work; she always makes each holiday extra special for the residents by decorating the dining room and taking special requests from the residents. JoAnn greets everyone that walks into the kitchen area with a smile and always has a joke to crack. JoAnn is the perfect example of Haven Health’s four core values.

“JoAnn never tries to steal the spotlight, she shows up every day with a smile, she is well known by the residents and is always willing to help others.”

Meet Albertson Coochyouma, one of our residents at Haven Health Flagstaff!

Albertson is from the Hopi Reservation in Polacca, AZ. He is the Ambassador of Haven Health Flagstaff's Walnut Unit as voted by his peers. He greets everyone with his beautiful smile and loves to talk to everyone in the building.

"Albertson loves to sit by the front entrance near me and greet staff, residents and visitors! His smile is infectious! He usually wears headphones, but what you may not know is he is listening to heavy metal!" Rayna Bates, Receptionist

Meet Tanya Figueroa one of our Certified Nursing Assistants from Haven Health Lakeside!

Tanya was recently selected as the Caring Professional of the Year at Haven Health Lakeside. She is a skilled professional that exemplifies the Haven Health culture.

Tanya became a C.N.A. in 2007 after completing her training with a Job Corp program in Tucson, AZ. Shortly after she left Tucson and came to the White Mountain area where she worked at Tall Pines rehab center in Show Low. Tanya left that facility in 2011 and joined the Sierra Blanca rehabilitation facility which was eventually acquired by Haven and has remained here ever since.

Tanya is married with two children. She is working on advancing her position by taking classes being offered through in-house educational opportunities. When asked why she works for Haven Health she replied, “I love working at Haven Health Lakeside, because I am able to care for our residents and work with a great team.”

Meet our leaders at Haven Health Camp Verde!

Emily Dulas – Administrator

Emily has been the Administrator at Haven Health Camp Verde for two years. She started in the building as the activities manager in 2018, moved into the marketing and admissions position, and then was given the opportunity to run the building.

Camp Verde is her hometown, and she is passionate about bringing quality care and career opportunities to her community. Emily loves her team and is incredibly proud of how they have grown over the last 2 years. She is married with two dogs. Fun fact about Emily, her office sports a lightsaber, a Lord of the Rings painting, and a Wonder Woman comic.

Debra “Deb” Comeau – Director of Nursing

In 2003, Deb decided to go back to school to become a nurse. In addition, to attending school nights and weekends, Deb worked 40 hours a week and all while taking care of her 3 sons and attending all their sporting events. Deb received my ASN in 2005 from Regis College, my BSN from Endicott College in 2015 and MSN with a concentration in Community Health from Endicott College in 2018. She also holds certifications in Hospice care and Case Management.

After being laid off from her Case Management job in 2022, she obtained a nursing position here at Haven Health Camp Verde. On April 1st of this year, she became the Director of Nursing for Haven health Camp Verde. “I think what I love most about this position is that I can help make this a better home for our residents and a better place for our staff to work.”

Get to know Charles S. Charles, a resident of Haven Health Lake Havasu!

Charles has been with us since 2020 and is known around Haven as “The Puzzle Guy.” His love for puzzles brings warmth to the facility; he is always willing to share his puzzles whether it be with fellow residents, visitors, or kids. Charles’ love for puzzles started a couple of months before he came to Haven. If Charles isn’t in his room, you can bet he is out in the common area working on a puzzle or waiting by the front door for the daily newspaper. He enjoys keeping up with the news and visiting with friends and fellow residents.

Before joining us here at Haven Health Lake Havasu, Charles loved to work with stained glass and even sold some of his creations in his shop.

We look forward to many more years of seeing which puzzle he will do next!

Meet Laura Magana a Nurse at Haven Health Sandpointe !

Laura Magana is a kind, empathetic and caring nurse! She has a phenomenal bedside manner and delivers a healing touch to her patients! Her patients trust her and no matter how busy a day she’s had, she manages to continue to show compassion and ensure her patients are very well cared for! Laura’s nursing knowledge is exemplary. She is not only a great nurse, but also a great co-worker who enjoys laughing and helping her team!

Laura is my superhero of nurses. I have personally called her “the Hulk” because she can come out of nowhere and save the day. Like literally she has saved many of our residents’ lives - once I witnessed a resident choking, and before I had moved, she was there saving his life; it was so amazing to see. I admire her tenacity, her strength, and her courage. Laura does not do this for the money or for the reward but for all of us, her great big family.

Laura continues to be a team player, working with patients, family, and healthcare staff. She always effectively uses critical thinking in helping residents. Meet our Haven Health Green Valley leaders:

Brandon Hatch - Executive Director

After spending over a decade in Law Enforcement, Brandon chose to transition to the Health Care industry. Acting on the advice of close friends/mentors, Brandon joined the Haven Health team as an AIT in June of 2021. One year later he stepped in as the Executive Director at Santa Rita Nursing and helped guide the Santa Rita team through the transition to Haven Health Green Valley, in Feb of 2023 and has enjoyed seeing the team flourish ever since.

Robyn Eaglen – Director of Nursing

Robyn Started her nursing career over 27yrs ago with the desire to help others and be self-sufficient in supporting her two daughters at the time. Robyn has worked in many different positions as a nurse here at this facility including a floor nurse, MDS nurse, ADON, Administrator, and DON and in specialties and hospital settings over her career. Robyn enjoys retail therapy, beach vacations with her family and time spent with her precious grandchildren.

Robyn and Brandon have been working as a team since June of 2022. Robyn (with her many years of SNF experience) and Brandon (fresh off the AIT train) have proven to be a good complement to each other. Together they are building on the culture of success and genuine care that Robyn has done such an amazing job of developing over the years.

Meet Ryan McCleary one of our LPN's from Haven Health Sierra Vista!!

Ryan has been an integral part of our team for 24 years! During this time, he has consistently demonstrated his passion for his work. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help his co-workers and residents. His positive attitude and infectious smile make him a joy to work with.

Meet Edwin Rios, one of our residents at Haven Health Tucson!

Edwin Rios, dubbed “Sir Rios” by our Haven Health Tucson team has been a resident since December 2022. He quickly become part of the Haven Health family!

Edwin spends his days up in his power chair out and about, chatting with the staff, people watching, and spreading his contagious smile and laughter. He enjoys Cheetos, chocolate, and Starbucks! He has a wonderful family including siblings, nieces, and nephews who come and visit often.

Joice De Alcantara is a Haven Health Cook that moved to Haven Health Scottsdale from Haven Health Prescott. Her hard work and dedication have helped Haven Health Scottsdale get through many staffing hurdles. Brenda Buenaventura is a Dietary Aide at Haven Health Phoenix. When she heard that the Scottsdale location needed some additional support, she was quick to contribute her time and energy to ensure their team had the coverage needed. Joice and Brenda Buenaventura have been working diligently to guarantee shifts are filled, the kitchens are spotless, all while also serving great food in a very happy environment. Without these two ladies Haven Health Scottsdale and Haven Health Phoenix’s level of service would be significantly different.

While working hard the two have also created a shared friendship and camaraderie. When Brenda found out Joice had been driving back and forth from Prescott to Scottsdale; Brenda offered Joice a place to stay with her in Phoenix. Now the two are very close friends.

Joice and Brenda are a shining example of what our Haven Health Culture is all about; helping your fellow Caring Professional out and being thoughtful to ensure our patients get the care they need.
