The fantastic news is official! And no Dr. Hatch is not retiring. Dr Hatch and Nurse Practitioners Meghan Whitehead and Kristen Soder will continue to see patients on the regular schedule. This relationship creates convenience for patients of both practices and contiues quality care in Hamilton County and surrounding areas.

Huge Announcement about Pediatric Medical Care on Signal Mountain!

Highland Pediatrics is very excited to publicly share the new relationship between Signal Mountain Pediatrics and Highland Pediatrics Hixson. Three Highland doctors will begin seeing patients at the Signal Mountain Peditrics office.

In June, Dr Coffman and Dr Combs are beginning to see patients on Signal Mountain! In July, Dr Good will also start seeing patients on Signal Mountain! This should make back to school and sports physicals more convenient for many of our Highland families.

Dr Coffman, Combs and Good are all continuing their regular schedules at the Highland Hixson office.

The Highland Pediatricians will be sharing call and rounding on newborns in the hospital for both practices.

Signal Mountain Patients are always welcome to use the acute clinic at the Highland Pediatrics Hixson location. This clinic is open from 1p to 8p, seven days a week for new, urgent medical problems.

Highland Pediatrics Hixson Patients are welcome to be seen at the Signal Mountain location for healthcare needs.

The current Signal Mountain Pediatrics is in the process of being renamed Highland Pediatrics Signal Mountain. We are excited about the Highland Pediatrics family continuing to grow.

Exciting Changes in Beacon Health Pediatrics
Beacon Health Alliance is reconfiguring their pediatric practices. Signal Mountain Pediatrics and Highland Pediatric Clinic (HPC— Hixson) will be more aligned.

What does this mean for you?
Signal Mountain Patients may now be seen at the after hours clinic at Highland Pediatrics 4519 Hixson Pike. Hours are M-F 5pm-8pm Sat 1pm-8pm and Sunday 1pm-8pm. This is not a walk-in; call or text 423-877-4591 to schedule an appointment.

Call Coverage: After hours calls for urgent concerns will be forwarded to the provider on call by calling our regular number 423-886-7529. Messages left after hours on the nurse message line will not be answered until the next business day.

Highland Pediatric Physicians will be rounding on newborns at Women’s East, Erlanger, and Parkridge East. The hospitalists with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger will see our hospitalized patients.

Beacon pediatricians from HPC will be seeing patients in this office also. In an effort to assure continuity of care, portions of your medical record will be shared between these two offices.

Beginning this fall we will add walk-in hours from 8-9 am.

Signal Mountain Pediatrics will be using Rhinogram for daytime scheduling, form requests, questions, refill requests, etc. You will text your needs to 423-886-7529 during regular office hours. Responses will be in the form of a text back.

Signal Mountain Pediatrics will delay opening this morning until 10:30. We will reassess the road safety for patients and staff at 9.

Our weekend clinic at children’s diagnostic Center on Goodwin Road will be open from 12 to 6 today if you have a need to be seen. As they will be keeping an eye on the roads, it would be best to go earlier than later. Between the hours of 12 and five you may call the number that you typically text to determine if they are still there.

As expected, we will not be open today. For urgent needs a physician is on call. The W and Robert’s Mill are closed. Stay home and stay safe and warm.

Who knows what this weather will bring tomorrow? In abundance of caution, we are delaying opening until 10 am tomorrow; that will give us daylight hours to assess the situation.

Honestly there is a very good chance we will NOT be open at all tomorrow. As always there is a physician on call for your URGENT needs.
