☀️ Happy National SPF Day!! ☀️

🔸 Choose a sunscreen that is broad spectrum, water resistant, and SPF 30 or higher.

🔸 Reapply sunscreen every two hours when outdoors and after sweating or swimming.

🔸 For children and those with sensitive skin, use a mineral sunscreen (active ingredients of zinc oxide or titanium dioxide).

🔸 In addition to sunscreen, consider use of sun protective clothing and seek shade during the peak hours of sunlight. These measures are especially important for infants and children.

Do you know the different types of skin cancer?

▪️BCC is the most common type of skin cancer and typically occurs in areas that have had significant sun exposure throughout life. BCC often looks like a non healing sore or pimple. These are typically the most easily treated skin cancers.

▪️SCC is the second most common type of skin cancer. It also presents in areas which have had significant sun exposure, but there are variants which arise in areas that see minimal sun (such as the underwear area). SCC is typically pink, scaly, and can be tender or ulcerated.

▪️Melanoma is the third most common type of skin cancer and is the deadliest form of skin cancer. It typically presents as a brown or black spot that is uneven in color and atypical in shape. It can spread throughout the body if not caught early.

Have questions or concerned that you are at risk for skin cancer? Be sure to schedule your skin screening at Missouri Delta Dermatology!

🌟 Happy Receptionist Day to Cindy!!! 🌟

✨ Cindy has been at the dermatology clinic for a little over 2 years! She’s the first face you’ll see when you enter our clinic! She’s always there to welcome our patients with a warm smile. She truly loves getting to know our patients and helping them build their confidence as we treat their skin. We’re so grateful that she is part of our team!!!

✨ Tina, our clinic manager, had this to say about Cindy: “Cindy does an incredible job at keeping our dermatology clinic organized, welcoming, and running efficiently. Her patience, positivity, and dedication make a difference for every patient and every member of our team. She is usually the first to arrive to work and last one to leave for the day. 🩷 What’s your favorite part about working in the derm clinic?
- The team I work alongside with and the relationship between them. I have love for ALL my coworkers and the positive work experience.

One of the favorite parts of working in dermatology is seeing how much a person's confidence can change when their skin improves. Long term relationships I have grown to appreciate with the patients too!

🩷 What do you like to do outside of work?
- Spending time with my family. Enjoying going for jeep rides. Watching my daughter's lives grow. My oldest just retired from the Air Force and my youngest is going to start her senior year of high school in the fall and has a big year ahead with National Honor Society and an officer in FFA (Future Farmers of America). I'm so proud of them both!

🩷 What’s your favorite skincare product?!
- Of course a girls best friend - BOTOX!
I love anything to make me look younger!
First aid in skin care - Sunscreen...
I really don't know of a favorite product as I'm just learning and experiencing all of this!

🌟 Spotlight on Nurse Tina!! 🌟

✨ Tina has been at our dermatology clinic since the very beginning - going on 5 years! She is the clinic manager, in addition to working alongside Dr. Sindle. She truly does it all - assisting Dr. Sindle with patient care/procedures, blood draws, biologic injections, phototherapy treatments, photodynamic therapy treatments, prior authorizations, patient calls, ordering supplies, managing our staff, etc! There’s truly nothing she can’t do! We are so grateful for her leadership!

✨ Dr. Sindle had this to say about Tina: “Nurse Tina is the backbone of our dermatology clinic! She manages and advocates for our team so well. She is the epitome of a patient-centered nurse - always going above and beyond for our patients. She anticipates the needs of our patients and myself in clinic before we’re even aware of them. I’m truly so thankful to work alongside her to provide outstanding care to our patients and to help them feel more confident in their skin. She’s the best of the best! Happy Nurses Week, Tina!”

✨ We asked Nurse Tina some questions! ✨

🩷 What is your favorite part of being a nurse?
- Being a nurse has given me the privilege of connecting with people I may have never otherwise met. Along the way, many patient relationships have grown into meaningful friendships built on trust, compassion, and shared experiences.
Together, we have celebrated victories, faced losses, and exchanged life stories that have left a lasting impact on me.

🩷 How long have you worked in healthcare?
- I became a nurse in 1991, back when a small-town clinic nurse truly wore many hats. We roomed patients, drew labs, took X-rays, collected drug screens, called in prescriptions, and even made house calls alongside the doctor. It was a time when healthcare felt deeply personal and community-centered. I still remember seeing a fax machine for the very first time.

🩷 What is your favorite part about working in the dermatology clinic?
- My favorite part of dermatology is working alongside an incredible team that feels more like family than co-workers. Dr. Sindle is a phenomenal physician and educator, and together we share the philosophy that
"there is always room to see one more."

To me, dermatology is about so much more than skin deep conditions. It is about restoring confidence, educating patients about life-changing treatments and injections, and assisting with procedures that can truly save lives. Just as importantly, it is about offering a warm welcome, a genuine smile, a listening ear, and hope to every patient who walks through our doors.

🩷 What do you like to do outside of work?
- Outside of my Derm family, my greatest joy is spending time with my own family. Our newest grandbaby was born in February, making four sweet "littles" to love and spoil! Being a grandmother is one of life's greatest blessings.

I also love to cruise and explore new places with my husband of 33 years.

🩷 What’s your favorite skincare product?!
- Do I have a favorite Derm product? Not really. I love trying new brands, products, and treatments, and I'm always excited to learn about what's new in dermatology. But as a teen girl of the '80s — when we were all dedicated sun worshippers — I've learned that sunscreen and Botox truly are a girl's best friend!

🌟 Spotlight on Nurse Ali!! 🌟

✨ Ali has been at our dermatology clinic for 3 years working alongside our Nurse Practitioner Heather! She wears many hats in our clinic - assisting Heather with patient care/aesthetics, blood draws, biologic injections, phototherapy treatments, prior authorizations, patient calls, etc… you name it, Ali is always there to help!

✨ Heather had this to say about Ali: “Ali makes the days in our office so much smoother with a side of fun! She is the queen of prior authorizations and anticipates what I need before I ever ask. She is always willing to go the extra mile if it means being able to better help our patients. She brings a fun energy to the office every day with her bubbly personality and energy. I’m thankful to work with one of the best! Happy Nurses Week, Ali!”

✨ We asked Nurse Ali some questions! ✨

🩷 What is your favorite part of being a nurse?
- My favorite part of being a nurse is being part of someone’s healing and support system. Whether it’s helping them feel better physically or just being there during a tough time, it’s rewarding to know I can make a real difference in how someone feels!

🩷 How long have you worked in healthcare?
- 5.5 years as a nurse!

🩷 What is your favorite part about working in the dermatology clinic?
- My favorite part about working in a dermatology clinic is being part of helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Aesthetics are so fun too!!

🩷 What do you like to do outside of work?
- Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my pups (Goose and Byrdie), but my favorite role outside of nursing is being an aunt! It’s the most fun and rewarding part of my life.

🩷 What’s your favorite skincare product?!
- I have a few favorites, but my go to skincare products are my Cencia foam cleanser, an anti-aging cream, and my red light mask.
