🌟 Spotlight on Nurse Tina!! 🌟
✨ Tina has been at our dermatology clinic since the very beginning - going on 5 years! She is the clinic manager, in addition to working alongside Dr. Sindle. She truly does it all - assisting Dr. Sindle with patient care/procedures, blood draws, biologic injections, phototherapy treatments, photodynamic therapy treatments, prior authorizations, patient calls, ordering supplies, managing our staff, etc! There’s truly nothing she can’t do! We are so grateful for her leadership!
✨ Dr. Sindle had this to say about Tina: “Nurse Tina is the backbone of our dermatology clinic! She manages and advocates for our team so well. She is the epitome of a patient-centered nurse - always going above and beyond for our patients. She anticipates the needs of our patients and myself in clinic before we’re even aware of them. I’m truly so thankful to work alongside her to provide outstanding care to our patients and to help them feel more confident in their skin. She’s the best of the best! Happy Nurses Week, Tina!”
✨ We asked Nurse Tina some questions! ✨
🩷 What is your favorite part of being a nurse?
- Being a nurse has given me the privilege of connecting with people I may have never otherwise met. Along the way, many patient relationships have grown into meaningful friendships built on trust, compassion, and shared experiences.
Together, we have celebrated victories, faced losses, and exchanged life stories that have left a lasting impact on me.
🩷 How long have you worked in healthcare?
- I became a nurse in 1991, back when a small-town clinic nurse truly wore many hats. We roomed patients, drew labs, took X-rays, collected drug screens, called in prescriptions, and even made house calls alongside the doctor. It was a time when healthcare felt deeply personal and community-centered. I still remember seeing a fax machine for the very first time.
🩷 What is your favorite part about working in the dermatology clinic?
- My favorite part of dermatology is working alongside an incredible team that feels more like family than co-workers. Dr. Sindle is a phenomenal physician and educator, and together we share the philosophy that
"there is always room to see one more."
To me, dermatology is about so much more than skin deep conditions. It is about restoring confidence, educating patients about life-changing treatments and injections, and assisting with procedures that can truly save lives. Just as importantly, it is about offering a warm welcome, a genuine smile, a listening ear, and hope to every patient who walks through our doors.
🩷 What do you like to do outside of work?
- Outside of my Derm family, my greatest joy is spending time with my own family. Our newest grandbaby was born in February, making four sweet "littles" to love and spoil! Being a grandmother is one of life's greatest blessings.
I also love to cruise and explore new places with my husband of 33 years.
🩷 What’s your favorite skincare product?!
- Do I have a favorite Derm product? Not really. I love trying new brands, products, and treatments, and I'm always excited to learn about what's new in dermatology. But as a teen girl of the '80s — when we were all dedicated sun worshippers — I've learned that sunscreen and Botox truly are a girl's best friend!
