Community Health Update: TB Awareness

TB (tuberculosis) cases are increasing in Oregon. In 2025, the state reported its highest number of TB cases in nearly 20 years.

✅ Good news: There were no TB cases in Lincoln County in 2025.

Even so, it’s important to know the signs:

• Cough lasting 2–3 weeks
• Fever or night sweats
• Unexplained weight loss
• Feeling very tired

If you have symptoms or concerns, get checked early. Testing and treatment help keep our community healthy.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

What is TDVM?

Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVM) is held throughout February as a way to bring together teens and those who support them in a national effort to raise awareness of teen dating violence.

Dating abuse is a pattern of destructive behaviors that exert power and control over a dating partner. Abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, financial, digital, and stalking.

1 in 10 High school students have experienced physical violence from a dating partner during the past year.
