🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to two of the best at Frazier Physical Therapy: Jaelyn Galley and Alli Powell! 🎂🎉

Today we celebrate two amazing young ladies who somehow managed to get older this year… yet still look younger than ever. Honestly, we’re starting to think physical therapy isn’t the only magic happening around here! 😂

Jaelyn and Alli bring so much positivity, hard work, kindness, and fun to our clinic every single day. Whether they’re helping patients, making coworkers laugh, or keeping the place running smoothly, they both make a huge impact on everyone around them.

We are beyond thankful to have not only incredible employees, but truly wonderful people as part of the Frazier PT family. We hope your birthdays are filled with lots of laughs, cake, and maybe a little less work today (we said maybe 😅).

Help us wish these birthday girls an amazing day! 🥳🎈🎁

At Frazier Physical Therapy, again we believe that caring for athletes means understanding the dedication and discipline it takes to compete and train. Whether it’s on the field or in the arena these experiences build the work ethic and resilience we see in our patients every day.

This week, we’re proud to highlight Jaelyn Kay Galley! 🥎

Jaelyn went to Buna High School and played softball and raised animals through FFA; two paths that demanded commitment, patience, and heart. Those same qualities now shine through in the way she connects with and cares for our patients.

In the clinic, she understands what it means to push through challenges, set goals, and keep moving forward and that perspective makes all the difference in helping our patients do the same.

We’re grateful to have team members like Jaelyn who bring real-life experience, passion, and purpose into patient care every single day.

At Frazier P.T., we believe the foundation of great physical therapy starts long before anyone steps into the gym, it’s built through a lifetime of setting goals, putting in the work, and showing up day after day.

Around here, those values run deep. From Friday night lights to early mornings in the field, from time spent in the woods to long days in the arena, our roots in sports, the outdoors, rodeo, and FFA have shaped who we are and how we care for our patients.

We’re proud to highlight Nicole Scott, one of our amazing PTAs, who embodies that spirit. Nicole played volleyball for Silsbee High School, competed on the fishing team, and dedicated countless hours to showing livestock. Those experiences didn’t just build skill, they built discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic.

That same mindset is what she brings to every patient she works with, helping them set goals, push through challenges, and celebrate progress along the way.

Because whether it’s on the court, in the pasture, or in the clinic… success always starts with a goal and the grit to chase it.

Your feet are doing a lot more work than you think! 👣

Inside and around your lower leg and foot are two important groups of muscles:

• Extrinsic muscles – the bigger muscles in your lower leg that help move your foot up, down, and side to side.
• Intrinsic muscles – the small muscles inside your foot that help keep it stable and balanced.

Think of the intrinsic muscles like the foundation of a house. If they’re weak, the whole structure becomes less stable and more prone to injury.

That’s where the Side-Kick comes in.

When you stand on the Side-Kick, your foot has to make small adjustments to stay balanced. This activates the tiny stabilizing muscles in your foot and ankle that often get overlooked.

Over time this helps:
✅ Improve balance
✅ Strengthen foot stability
✅ Support the arch of the foot
✅ Reduce stress on the ankle and knee
✅ Make walking and daily activities all around better

Training these muscles helps your body stay strong, stable, and ready for movement—whether you're walking, exercising, or just going about your day.

Strong feet = better balance and better movement. 👣

Want a new way to train and treat problems of the foot/ankle complex??

At first glance this would look like an incorrect way to do a traditional squat. However, the point of this exercises is not to strengthen the legs. Instead, we are creating greater flexibility to the gastrocnemius "the calf muscle".

This exercise is a called a "Prisoner Squat." SImply displacing your knees past your toes and keeping your heels down creates a stretch to the Achilles complex. By performing a "Prisoner Squat" in sequence, you then get a dynamic stretch, which is a stretch with movement. We must add, this exercise may not be appropriate for everyone, just reach out to your local physical therapist to get more information.
