Are you prepared for the changes that take place in the Fall?
All of a sudden you feel the briskness & chill starting to creep into your bones. Fall can naturally increase anxiety if you are unprepared. People who already run a little tired and deficient are the most vulnerable to the rough change of season.
In summer, you naturally feel more energetic and extroverted. The extended daylight hours of summer make for a great season for outdoor fun and other festivities late into the night. But when fall comes around, it's time to slow down and avoid all the stress that comes from summer excitement.
This fall, take preventative measures to reduce anxiety by avoiding stressful situations. If stress is unavoidable as it often is, reduce the number of daily activities. Be gentle with yourself. Enjoy the natural sleepiness of fall as you snuggle under a blanket at home. Take care of yourself more often than usual, away from the pressures of social life, and conserve your energy. Follow the three pillars to keeping your body healthy and strong in the fall:
*Get enough sleep, conserve energy*
*Keep warm*
*Make your life cozy*
When you are prepared for the season by keeping warm and conserving energy, you'll feel the more inward, reflective, and protective qualities of fall as it develops.
