Did You Know?

According to SAMHSA, in 2023 Asian American adults were about 50% less likely to receive mental health care compared to non-Hispanic white adults.

At PCC, we’re working to close that gap. Through our partnership with the Asian American Health Initiative, we have helped fund local organizations that provide culturally responsive mental health support to local Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. As we recognize Minority Mental Health Month, it’s a great time to reflect on the importance of increasing awareness, improving access to care, and supporting mental well-being for all communities. 💙

Connecting low income people to comprehensive, high quality health care since 1993. PCC removes barriers to health care access.

PCC serves low income, uninsured adults and children in Montgomery County linking them to primary health care, medicine, dental care, mental health services, specialists, food and healthy cooking classes. We care about the well-being and health of our most vulnerable neighbors. We work closely with Montgomery county partners and private providers to make sure everyone regardless of income can see a doctor, dentist, mental health professional and get the medicines they need to stay healthy. We work with community partners to remove client’s barriers to services, ensure ease of access and continuously advocate for a high quality, inclusive, comprehensive network of services.
