Separation anxiety is a normal part of childhood—but when does it become a concern?

Many young children experience distress when separating from a parent, but when anxiety becomes persistent and starts interfering with daily life, it may indicate Separation Anxiety Disorder (SAD). Children struggling with SAD may avoid school, social situations, or even feign illness to stay close to a caregiver.
Understanding the difference between normal separation anxiety and a more serious concern is key. Learn more about the signs, coping strategies, and when to seek professional support in our latest blog.
