For National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Take Your Legislator to Work Week, SEEC visited Housing Unlimited, Inc. to see Cardin and Camile, both supported by SEEC, thriving at work. County Councilmember Dawn Luedtke and Delegate Linda K. Foley joined us to learn how Cardin and Camile support HUI’s mission by connecting with tenants and ensuring their homes are safe. We also learned how they get to work and what they enjoy doing with their paychecks (someone’s saving up for Disneyland!). Take Your Legislator to Work Week highlights how inclusive hiring benefits employees, employers, and the community.
