Ceramic implants have ceased to be experimental years ago. All procedures you have been performing with and around metal implants can also be done with ceramic implants. In this case simultaneous GBR and implant placement. The key with ceramic implants however is to properly evaluate and physiologically prepare the host for implant surgery. Just like with our physician colleagues, pre-surgical bloodwork is important and should be a key component of the workup.
