Four Corners Wellbeing

Four Corners Wellbeing Individual psychotherapy, group therapy,
and couples counseling. Life isn’t perfect, and that won’t change. What can change is the way you respond to life.

We will help you get unstuck and courageously move from problems to possibilities. We offer individual psychotherapy, relationship counseling, trauma healing, self-leadership coaching and mindfulness training. Hetty's therapy style is non-judgmental, compassionate, and warm -- but also practical. At Four Corners Counseling, you will learn about yourself in entirely new ways, and take home tools to help you feel better NOW. I am trained in the Internal Family Systems "Self Leadership" model of therapy for individuals and couples, which includes mindfulness and spirituality. We offer EMDR for trauma recovery and healing painful memories. We help clients find contentment, balance and transformation in their lives and relationships. We can help you, too.

Gratitude doesn’t always arrive in big, beautiful moments.

Sometimes, it shows up quietly, in a favorite dish, a deep breath, or a kind glance across the table.

🌿 Today, we invite you to notice:

What feels good?

What brings a sense of ease, even briefly?

What would you miss, if it were gone?

Let your gratitude be simple, honest, and your own.

There’s no right way to be thankful, just gentle invitations to notice what’s here.

Wishing you a day filled with small moments that remind you of what matters.

Family gatherings can stir up more than small talk and shared meals, they can activate old roles, protector parts, and wounds we thought we’d outgrown.

🌀 Maybe your inner teenager shows up, ready to shut down or push back.
Maybe your perfectionist part feels the pressure to keep the peace.
Maybe you find yourself bracing for the same dynamics, even before you walk in the door.

🌿 Before seeing family, take a moment to check in with your system.

Who’s showing up inside? What do they need to feel supported?

You’re not regressing, you’re remembering. And it’s okay to set boundaries, take breaks, or offer yourself compassion along the way.

Today, on World Kindness Day, we’re inviting you to turn that kindness inward.

☁️ Notice your inner dialogue.

Would you speak to a friend the way you speak to yourself?

Kindness isn't just something we give away, it's something we’re worthy of receiving, too. Especially from ourselves.

🌿 Gentle reminder: Your healing matters. Your softness matters. And you’re allowed to be a work in progress.

Today is National Stress Awareness Day.

A gentle reminder: stress is not a sign of failure. It’s your nervous system doing its best to protect you. What if we met our stress with curiosity and compassion instead of judgment?

🌿 Take a moment for a somatic check-in:
Where are you holding tension right now?
☁️ Jaw, shoulders, chest, belly?
Gently breathe into that space. You don't have to ""fix"" anything, just notice.
🌀 Try this grounding breathwork:
Inhale for 4…
Hold for 4…
Exhale for 6…

Repeat 3x. Let your body know it’s safe to soften.

Worry often feels like caring, but it can quietly take away our sense of power and presence.

Try this gentle shift:
✨ Instead of worrying, pay attention with love.

Paying loving attention brings agency, clarity, and compassion.

It helps us respond, not react.

It invites us into a space of care, toward what matters, and toward ourselves.

When in doubt, return to this intention: Pay attention with love.

Just as trees release their leaves each fall, we, too, are invited to release what no longer serves us: old patterns, heavy emotions, or the stories we’ve outgrown.

Letting go isn’t always easy. But in the right season, with the right support, it can be deeply healing. Sometimes, release is the beginning of renewal.

What are you ready to let go of this season?

🌍 World Mental Health Day | October 10

This year’s theme: “Prioritizing Mental Health in the Workplace."

Today is a global reminder that mental health matters, in every space we live and work. It's a call to reduce stigma, expand access to care, and create environments where rest, boundaries, and emotional well-being are truly supported.

Whether you're navigating burnout, anxiety, or simply trying to be more present with yourself, your mental health is worthy of care.
