🌿 As the weather warms up, ticks are out and the risk of Lyme disease increases.
Stay protected with a few simple habits: wear light-colored, tightly woven clothing, long sleeves, and tuck pants into socks to keep ticks off your skin. Stick to clear, well-traveled trails and avoid sitting on the ground or in dense brush.
Check your clothes and exposed skin often while outdoors. If you use insect repellent, always follow the label directions carefully. After heading inside, shower within two hours and do a full-body tick check (don’t forget kids and pets!). Removing ticks promptly can greatly reduce your risk of disease.
A little prevention goes a long way to stay safe this season.
