The number one problem I see with exercise prescription is that it’s not determined through assessment. Patients are often given the provider’s favorite stretch or exercise.
This is often the case with pelvic floor patients. Pelvic floor strengthening is typically the go to, however a sizable number of these individuals have a relevant spinal influence that needs to be addressed for recovery to have a chance.
