Why are there more in distress and lonely?

Nearly 1 in 2 young adults today report feeling lonely, according to a 2026 multi-country study—including the Philippines—where loneliness is strongly linked to depression and anxiety. 

In the , the signal is just as urgent: half of Filipino youth report lower happiness, with loneliness among their top struggles, alongside economic pressure and uncertainty. 

And so we ask—what happens to a generation that is always connected… yet quietly alone?

We are gathering the youth to co-advocate in helping us champion for a mentally resilient Philippines by training & certifying1M Mental Health coaches in in the next 5 years.

Something powerful is taking root in the highlands.

The AnchorED 1M Movement was presented to Governor Melchor Diclas, alongside Provincial Medical Officer
Dr. Dulay—not just a show of support, but a shared stand for the mental well-being of every Benguetño.

Led by our Founder and Lead Convenor, Dr. Bryce, with Mission Partners Ms. Annie and Sir Francis, the presentation became and inspired action to consider mental health coaching for schools, communities and workplaces.

1M Update: DepEd Philippines Benguet

The Province of has 430 DepEd public schools—but only 11 Guidance Counselors.

In the face of a rising mental health crisis among students and teachers, the question is no longer if support is needed—but how fast we can make it present. Imagine 430 —one in every school—trained to recognize early signs, provide psychological first aid, hold safe conversations, and bridge individuals to the right level of care. This is how we move from overwhelmed systems to empowered communities.

Initial engagement plans are now underway between Emotional Reset Center and Dr. Carmel Meris, Schools Division Superintendent, with Ms. Lorna, Head of Partnership—marking a decisive step toward building a more responsive, mentally resilient Benguet. 1M Movement Update:
A strong step forward for La Union.

We had the privilege of presenting AnchorED 1M to Hon. Mario Ortega, with the support of Dr. Hermie Velasco, Provincial Medical Officer and Ms. Prixies—an inspiring moment of alignment and shared purpose. Our deep appreciation as well to Doc Alo for laying the groundwork that made this possible.

AnchorED 1M is a movement to build capacity. We train and certify mental health coaches across schools, barangays, youth sectors, and frontline institutions—so help is no longer scarce, but present, everyday, everywhere.

For La Union, this means a future where teachers are equipped, communities are supported, early intervention becomes the norm, and mental health care is no longer centralized—but lived and sustained at the local level.

1M Update

Last April 6, we had the opportunity to engage with the Legislative and Executive leaders of Baguio City, led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong, to present the AnchorED 1M Movement,
a national initiative to build a scalable mental health workforce across communities.

Baguio has taken decisive action.

The City is now preparing to train and certify 500 Mental Health Coaches across key tracks: TIWALA Recovery Coaches, DAVID Peer Coaches, and THOUGHT First Responders.

This is strategic capacity-building.
This is local leadership driving national impact.

Baguio City is now an AnchorED 1M Lead Champion Mission Partner.
