RECLAMATION
Different traditions name it in different ways…
💫 In personal growth spaces, we call it inner child work.
🌀 In therapy, we speak of dissociation, depersonalization, fragmentation, and eventually, integration.
🌙 In shamanic lineages, it’s soul loss... and the sacred act of soul retrieval.
In BodyMind Bridge, we call it a return. A reclaiming. A healing homecoming to the parts of you that once had to tuck away in order to survive.
These are not broken parts.
They are the wise ones.
The fierce, the tender, the creative, the intuitive.
The ones who knew. The ones who waited.
And now?
It is safe enough.
You are resourced enough.
It’s time to gently welcome them back home.

How To Be Well in the Digital Age 📲✨
As technology continues to permeate so many aspects of our lives, it is crucial to support our health and well-being with practices that counter the effects of technology on our bodies and minds.
Prolonged exposure to non-native EMFs and blue light has raised concerns about their effects on human health, and the overstimulation of the digital age along with the prevalence of virtual interactions instead of in-person communication has diminished our well-being in many ways.
To cultivate a relationship with technology that supports our health, well-being, cognition, and imagination, we must adopt mindful practices and set intentional boundaries.
Here are some ways we can strive for more balance with our technological engagements and our well-being:
✅ Create a technology-free zone in our homes 🏡❌📱to encourage mindful disconnection and relaxation.
✅ Take regular breaks from screen time ⏲️🧘♂️ to stretch, breathe, and refocus our attention inward.
✅ Use technology in a manner that honors our natural rhythms. 🌞🌚This can be achieved by incorporating lighting that mimics natural light cycles, taking regular breaks to reduce screen time, and managing electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure
✅ Participate in regular outdoor activities 🌳🚶♀️to reconnect and coregulate with nature and reduce the sensory overload from digital devices.
✅ Gather in person. 👫👭 Balance digital interactions with real-world experiences to nurture our mental health.
✅ Use technology in a way that stimulates our cognitive functions and imagination, 🧠✨ rather than just for data collection or distraction.

Settle in, close your eyes, and grant yourself a few nourishing breaths with long, cleansing exhalations.
Gently place one or both hands over your heart, feeling the gentle pressure and warmth.
Perhaps explore making small circles with your hand on your chest.
Feel the natural rising and falling of your chest as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
Say to yourself:
May I be kind to myself.
May I give myself the compassion that I need.
May I accept myself as I am.
What other kindness do you need? Offer that to yourself.
If there is something difficult in your day or your life at this time, perhaps say to yourself:
This is a moment of suffering.
This is stress.
Suffering is a part of life.
Other people feel this way.
I’m not alone.
Your body responds to the physical gesture of warmth and care. Touch, even our own intentional soothing touch, activates our parasympathetic nervous system which helps us feel calmer and more present. You can practice this any time, but especially during difficult periods.
