Gratitude post-

I am honored to have worked on my clients for over 22 years now. I can not explain all the feelings and emotions I feel to be trusted with one’s body. (Some clients have sent their children to me, their spouse or aging parents.) To be a helping hand in one’s healing journey. To be trusted with medical information, personal information, emotions. To be the highlight of one’s day. To be what one is so thankful for and to be so anticipated. To help people move and live with less or no pain. To help physical ailments completely go away. To guide and teach self care. To massage pregnant women with another life in their womb! To massage 93 year old ladies who teach you to prune roses. To work on one in their most vulnerable state. To work on old friends from childhood. To work on a client’s child. To work on doctors, chiropractors, firefighters, other massage therapists, educators, acupuncturists, caretakers, healers. I am honored. Honored to be chosen and trusted.
My grandma use to tell me I had heat coming out of me as a young child. Heat coming out of my hands. I would massage her hands, feet and lower legs while she relaxed in her chair and watched soap operas or evening television. I use to massage my grandpa’s hands and give him manicures. I realize my massage career started then, as a young child. Maybe seven years old?
In my early twenties, I was told by multiple people that I was doing Reiki before I really knew anything about it. It’s the heat my grandma spoke of.
Growing up I hated my hands. My perspective has changed as they are my gift, in which I provide for my family and care for others with. I believe I was born to do massage and Reiki. Fulfilling a purpose.
I am honored and grateful. Thank you to all my clients. Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to be part of your journey. Thank you trusting me when you are broken, emotional, exhausted and overwhelmed. Thank you for trusting me while you’re in crisis. Thank you for trusting me while you are pregnant. Thank you for trusting me to work on your children. Thank you. I am honored.
