Faith. Has religion taken ownership of it?
What about faith in each other?
Faith in humanity?
A faithful dog or friend?
What about faith in fidelity?

When I googled "faith" most of the images were crosses. A few had someone looking out into an ocean or sunrise. But faith is something that might be in short supply right now...in almost everything.

Where do we put our faith? And what--exactly--does that mean?
A worthy exercise in this often hopeless time. Let's take a ride down faith road and see where we end up...

Church of the Moment is largely irreligious. We explore all kinds of texts and rituals from all spiritual communities in the world. For example, we will celebrate Dia de los Mu***os along with All Souls and Halloween on the last Sunday of October.

I picked up a deck of tarot cards based on word spells from the magickal writer Lucy Cavendish, in whose books I've found ritual and sacred words of manifesting. I found myself asking what the difference is between prayer and spells. As I read the spells in the deck they seemed much like prayer.

I'll share some of these and also some reflections on prayer and spells, hoping we can hear from you how you see or use the two forms of manifestation, of seeking help or favor or forgiveness.

Yeah, I guess it's a little weird, but that's never stopped us...

Letter writing. In this age of texting and Facebook and email, letter writing is becoming a lost art. No doubt each of us has had some impact from a letter.

What's your letter story? Who wrote to you that you still remember? What did you find out in a letter? What have you revealed in a letter?

Letters are really moments captured with ink and paper. Maybe some of your moments are in drawer or box in closet or out in the garage...

Yes! The Silverton Wind Phone is still here after 20 months! We don't watch or monitor, but the Wind Phone gets a couple visits a week. All ages. Last year a Jr Hi girl came by weekly with her friends. They sat on the rock while she visited with her mother.

What is it? Well, a link to the back story on the first Wind Phone is below. There is a stool and a phone. You pick up the phone and talk to whomever you want. Someone who has died. Someone you need to vent to or forgive or thank or explain. Maybe just to visit.

The Silverton Wind Phone is on the North end of the Mark Twain field, adjacent to Casa de Paja (816 Liberty Street)
