Democratic Leaders Refuse to Advance Critical Pharmacy Access Bill, Side with Corporate Middlemen as Pharmacy Crisis Worsens

In a move that will deepen Oregon’s pharmacy access crisis, Democratic legislative leaders have indicated they will not advance any version of House Bill 3212 this session. The bill, which enjoys broad bipartisan and bicameral support, was designed to address abusive contracting practices by insurance companies and their pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) middlemen.

Update on hb3212.. they are sending it for a discussion on Tuesday may27 to house committee on behavioral health and health care. We believe this is a move to allow pbms time to fight against us . Here are the members of any one had time to email or call their office in support before Tuesday. I left messages at 10 pm last night at the end of my shift. We will fight !!! Amazing they are holding the hearing the day after a holiday when most pharmacist need to be in their stores filling prescriptions..
