We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Assistant to Office Manager to join our team and support our medical staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Office Manager with daily tasks as needed.
• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process.
• Assist with patient assessments, including taking vitals, medical histories, and documenting relevant information.
• Perform routine medical procedures such administering injections, as needed.
• Route appropriate prescriptions to provider for refill request.
• Maintain patient records in electronic health systems, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Schedule patient appointments, manage calendars, and confirm appointments to minimize no-shows.
• Assist in managing office supplies and ensure exam rooms are well-stocked and organized.
• Handle patient phone inquiries, follow up on lab results, and coordinate referrals.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Support administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
• Help maintain a clean and welcoming office environment.
Qualifications:
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
• Previous experience in a pediatric medical office or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in office software, electronic medical records (EMR), and scheduling systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR certification required.
