WHY?
Seed oils cause inflammation in the body:
➡️They have a high Omega-6 Ratio: While omega-6 is essential, modern diets often have a 20:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3, far higher than the ideal 1:1, leading to an imbalance that promotes inflammation.
➡️Processing Techniques: These oils are typically highly refined, involving chemical extraction (like hexane), bleaching, and deodorizing, which can strip them of nutrients and antioxidants.
➡️Heating and Stability: Many of these oils are unstable at high temperatures, causing them to oxidize and create free radicals.
So practice crowding them out by using more anti-inflammatory fats instead!

“Please bless the food that it will nourish and strengthen our bodies.”
This is a prayer. We have said repeatedly over the years.
Recently, I was at an event where the same prayer was uttered.
Then I wondered, “Is this food really going to nourish my body?”
It reminded me how much I want my prayers to align with my values.
If I’m asking God to consecrate the good in the food to nourish me, I need to do my part!
QUALITY over calorie.
Cheap food does not save us money💰
In the end, it will cost us more with lower quality of life and higher medical bills. 💰💰💰

Here’s the ultimate “Red Flag” checklist for your next grocery run:
🚫 Inflammatory Oils: Avoid the “Hateful 8” industrial seed oils: Canola, Corn, Cottonseed, Soybean, Sunflower, Safflower, Grapeseed, and Rice Bran. These are high in omega-6 fats that can drive systemic inflammation.

🍭 Excess Sugars: Sugar has over 60 aliases! Watch for anything ending in “-ose” (dextrose, fructose), any “syrup” (corn, brown rice), and “fruit juice concentrate”. If it’s in the top 3 ingredients, it’s a dessert, not a meal.

🧪 Unnecessary Fillers & Additives: If you can’t pronounce it, your body probably doesn’t know what to do with it.
Look out for: Gums & Thickeners: Carrageenan, Guar gum, Xanthan gum. Preservatives: BHA, BHT, Sodium Benzoate, Nitrates/Nitrites.Artificial Everything: Dyes (Red 40, Yellow 5) and “Natural” or “Artificial” flavors.
