Entrepreneurs of Silverton (and surrounding areas) this one’s for you! ☕

Our next Silverton Coffee Club is happening Friday, March 6 at 9am at The Warren and you’re invited.

We’ve been having some seriously good conversations the past couple of months. From relationship-based marketing to launching businesses and mapping out those crucial first 6-12 month milestones, it’s been equal parts practical and inspiring.

This month, we’re tackling something that sounds easy… until you actually try to do it:
👉 Explaining who you are and what your business does in 1–3 clear, confident sentences.

We’ll workshop our elevator pitches with a few fun exercises and real-time practice (don’t worry this is a friendly table, no sharks). You’ll leave sharper, clearer, and more confident talking about your business.

And as always, we’ll make space for whatever challenges or ideas you bring to the table. That’s the magic of this group, it’s shaped by the entrepreneurs around the table!

Grab a coffee. Join the conversation. See you Friday at 9am. 🚀

Silverton Coffee Club for Startups and Entrepreneurs

Last month we had a great turn out! Thanks to everyone who showed up, shared, and told us what kind of support you need!

We talked about:

- Raising capital and the different types of funding

- Professional support services for entrepreneurs

- Recommendations for CPAs and business consultants

- Love/hate relationships with social media

- The isolation and loneliness of soloprenurership

I'm looking forward to our next meeting on Friday Feb 6th!

Come join the conversation! (and drink amazing coffee or tea at the Warren)

These last few weeks have felt heavy. There is a collective grief in the air.

Under the outrage, pain, and fear, there is grief.

We need these community circles right now.

Please share this resource far and wide.

These gatherings are for anyone who is grieving. They are for those who care for others and for those who are cared for.

They are for all of us.

I'll be there.

I invite you to join me.

This will be facilitated by a talented and expert colleague.

Come for one session, or come for all of them.

I hope to see you there.

If you are like me, winter can feel quiet on the outside and loud on the inside.

If things feel heavy or you are finding yourself stuck or lost in rumination, try this: place one hand on your chest, slow your exhale, and name three sensations you can feel in your body.

Research in neuroscience shows that slow breathing and gentle somatic attention increase body–brain coherence and calm the nervous system.

Remember, you’re enough just as you are 💖

As I reflect on the year ahead I am reminded of the sacredness of this season.

After the solstice, the light returns quietly. 🌅

Not all at once, just enough to remind us it’s still here.

This is a tender season, an invitation to pause the busy mind and drop into the body.

To feel our breath.
To soften.
To rest in loving awareness.

The place where we remember we’re held.

Thich Nhat Hanh teaches that our true refuge isn’t outside us.
It’s found in presence, in truth, in love.

My wish for this season, my wish for us all...

May we move slowly.
May we listen deeply.

May we remember that even now, especially now, the light is returning...within us, too. ✨

Have you heard of Direct Primary Care?

Well if you are like me, you’ve heard of it but don’t completely understand how it works.

Dr. Adama Diarra just launched a new podcast called The New Healthcare, and it’s fantastic!

He dives into new, more human-centered ways of delivering and receiving healthcare, talking with local leaders who are creating real change.

He also interviews healthcare professionals who share tips and insights improving wellbeing.

I just listened to the episode with Dr. Andy Sabatier, DPT, on breathing, and honestly… it totally changed how I think about breath. So simple, so grounding, so eye-opening.

If you’re curious about better ways to practice, live, and care for yourself, take a listen.

It’s well worth it. 💛

This podcast explores the dynamic world of concierge medicine and direct primary care. Each week, we sit down with physicians who are reimagining healthcare through innovative practice models—whether it’s concierge care, micro-practices, DPC, telehealth, or hybrid systems. I’ve been thinking a lot about generosity lately, not the “give more, do more, stretch further” kind, but a gentle, grounded generosity.

The kind that doesn’t drain us.
The kind that doesn’t ask us to disappear.
The kind that feels like exhaling.

Thich Nhat Hanh teaches that when we offer our full presence, we say to someone: “You matter. You’re not alone.”

Pema Chödrön says generosity often looks like simply staying not fixing, not judging, just staying.

And Tara Brach reminds us that generosity grows when we allow our hearts to stop grasping.

✨ Generosity begins with presence.

✨ The greatest gift we give someone is our attention. Real, soft, unhurried attention.

✨ True generosity is the willingness to stay open, even when life feels messy.

Imagine how much more ease we’d feel if we practiced this kind of generosity with ourselves.

Imagine how our relationships might shift if we offered presence instead of perfection.

What’s one small act of generosity you’re offering yourself today?
