There are a lot of myths about the flu shot, but let’s set the record straight!

🚫 Myth 1: "The flu shot can give you the flu."
✅ Fact: You can’t catch the flu from the flu shot! The vaccine uses inactive virus strains, so it can't cause illness.

🚫 Myth 2: "I’m healthy, so I don’t need the flu shot."
✅ Fact: Even healthy people can get the flu, and the vaccine helps protect those around you, like the elderly or young children.

🚫 Myth 3: "Flu shots don’t work."
✅ Fact: Flu shots reduce the risk of getting the flu and can lessen symptoms if you do get sick.

🚫 Myth 4: "Flu shots are only for people at high risk."
✅ Fact: Everyone, 6 months and older, should get the flu shot to help prevent the spread of the virus!

Check with your doctor to find out when flu shots are available in your area.

When it comes to a stroke, every second counts. Knowing the signs and acting FAST can save a life — maybe even your own.

Learn the F.A.S.T. acronym:

F – Face drooping: Is one side of the face numb or drooping?
A – Arm weakness: Can the person raise both arms? Does one drift down?
S – Speech difficulty: Is speech slurred or hard to understand?
T – Time to call 911: If you see any of these signs, call emergency services immediately.

Strokes can happen to anyone, anytime. Recognizing the symptoms early is key to getting the right treatment fast.
