🌟 A Legacy of Healing: How Doyle Chiropractic Was Established
Well… first off, 47 years ago, I was literally born into the hands of a chiropractor. My father was a chiropractor, and my mother—very natural-minded—decided early on that they wanted their children to start life differently. No drugs. No hospitals. So I was delivered and dad didnt drop me! This took place in a small apartment across the street from my dad’s first chiropractic clinic in Overland Park, KS. My mom got just what she wanted for her three children—a natural, holistic beginning to this world 🌍 with all three of her kids being born at home. Moments after I was born, I received my very first upper cervical adjustment after months curled in the fetal position. That was my introduction to life… and to the life-style and profession that would later define my own life and life’s work.
I come from a long line of healthcare providers 👩⚕️👨⚕️ whose influence shaped me from the start. My great-grandfather began the family tradition as an osteopath in northwestern Missouri from the 1910s through the 1950s—adjusting patients while also writing prescriptions. My grandfather, who loved getting adjusted as a child by his dad whenever he wasn’t feeling well, had a headache or had suffered an injury, eventually chose dentistry 🦷🪥 for his profession and practiced in Kansas City from the 1950s through the late 1980s and was even the President of the Kansas Dental Association for years.
When my Grandpa Gentry’s daughters—my mother and my aunt—got engaged to my father and my uncle, Grandpa wasn’t impressed with where his future sons-in-law were headed professionally. Having grown up with chiropractic adjustments from his osteopath father, and knowing firsthand the benefits of natural care, he encouraged them to consider chiropractic. He believed it had huge potential for people who wanted to avoid drugs and surgery 💊❌. Thankfully, my dad and uncle listened. Both enrolled at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, graduating in 1976. From then on, our family has been obsessed with chiropractic and limited medications and surgeries.
So I definitely grew up surrounded by chiropractic philosophy and lots and lots of chiropractors. Between my dad, two uncles, two siblings, three cousins,☝️ cousin who married a classmate and myself, we have TEN chiropractors in the family! (Thanksgiving is pretty boring if you’re not a fan of chiropractic talk 😂). Add to that an uncle who was a podiatrist and multiple cousins who became nurses, and it’s clear helping others heal has been woven into our family DNA 🧬.

🙏 A Leap of Faith
When it came time to open my own clinic, I had the dream—but not the means…$$$…if you know what I mean!Having three children while working on my BS & DC degrees put my family in a tough spot financially. Banks were kind enough not to laugh at my small business loan applications, but none approved me. My wife was working her tail off, staying up all night working remotely from home while staying up all day taking care of the kids. Times were tough but that’s when my biggest supporter—my momma—stepped in. Believing in me with everything she had, she took out a second mortgage on her home so I could open my very first practice. Her sacrifice and faith gave me the foundation to begin what has become two incredible clinics, Doyle Chiropractic, and now, Doyle Chiropractic - Downtown Simpsonville as well as an unbelievably rewarding life.
I wish more than anything Mom were still here to see how far her belief carried me—to see two thriving clinic locations and a team of chiropractors using some of the most advanced therapies available to chiropractic patients today would make her so incredibly proud. Sadly, she passed away in September 2021 💔. Though she isn’t here to witness it, her fingerprints are on everything I do in my practice. I even have a family of red cardinals living just outside my adjusting room at our main clinic, and I like to think of them as a reminder of her presence ❤️.
On November 4, 2013, I opened the doors of my first clinic in Simpsonville, SC thanks to her faith. Two years later, still struggling to pay my bills, I too took a leap of faith and purchased land just off Fairview Rd, a risky move to say the least. In 2019, I moved into the building I built at that location where Doyle Chiropractic (The DC Original) stands today. From day one, I wanted my clinic to be more than a typical healthcare office. I wanted it to be a place of comfort, trust, laughter, and genuine care—a place where people could find healing without fear.

🚀 Growth and Innovation
As our patient base grew, so did our options for care. In 2018 we added Erchonia Class II laser therapy to help boost cellular energy. From there came red light therapy, Class IV laser therapy, acoustic wave therapy, and electromagnetic pulsation therapy. These therapies gave patients solutions beyond surgery or medication and brought relief to thousands 🙌.
In 2024, we expanded further by adding decompression therapy for the neck, low back and knees—rehabilitating discs and meniscus tissue. In order to make room for the growing demand, we opened our second clinic just minutes from the original location (should have build a bigger building).

🏛 Downtown Roots
Most recently, we opened in the historic Burdette Central building in downtown Simpsonville. Built in 1899 (with bricks and mortar added in 1921), this 126-year-old landmark has been a centerpiece of the community for generations.
Inside Suite 128 on the 2nd floor, we created a space that breaks away from the typical medical office. Instead of sterile walls and fluorescent lights, patients find a relaxation and healing oasis 🌿✨. Healing starts the moment you walk through the door and with the exposed brick and 100 year old hardwood floors, you feel the energy bouncing off the floors and walls wirh each adjustment!

💪 Carrying the Legacy Forward
From my great-grandfather’s osteopath practice in the early 1900s, to my grandfather’s dental career and encouragement that inspired my dad and uncle, to my mother’s sacrifice that made it all possible, to my wife’s hardwork and supprt, to the advanced therapies of today—the tapesty was woven with all of us pushing towards the same goal: helping people live better lives.
My journey began with my family’s hands guiding me, and today it continues with my own hands—supported by modern technology and fueled by gratitude for the patients who trust us every day.
After more than 12 years in practice and over 130,000 patient adjustments under my belt, I can say with certainty: this certainly isn’t a job, it’s not even a career. It’s a calling 🙏. And I refuse to do anything else.
