Promise Community Health Center opened in Sioux Center in 2008 and operates as the only Federally Qualified Health Center serving the far northwest corner of Iowa. Promise offers medical care, prenatal care, behavioral healthcare, population health care as well as dental and vision care. Promise also offers nurse health coaching, clinical pharmacy and affordable medications, lab services and immunizations, interpretation and translation, and various other services. Promise’s outreach staff will assist you with filling out complex paperwork, help arrange for transportation or interpret for you. We help you overcome whatever barriers you may face to health care. In the future, Promise will constantly adapt to meet your health-care needs because we understand that the services you need today might not be what you need tomorrow. EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Promise is a community health center which means we aim to serve the whole community – any language, background, or insurance status. If you have a lower income and no insurance, we would love to serve you and are able to offer a discount on your services. We will also support you in any other barriers to better health. If you have insurance, we would love to serve you. By choosing Promise, you can support your community as these insurance payments can help Promise’s financial strength to continue its mission. It is a great way to partner with us as we continue to make health care available to all individuals.

We’re excited to announce that Dr. Maya Chuppe has stepped into the role of Dental Director at Promise! 🦷💚

Dr. Chuppe joined Promise in June 2024 and quickly became a vital part of our dental team. She brings a passion for holistic, patient-centered care and a strong commitment to improving access to dental services in our community. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication to quality care make her the perfect fit for this role. We’re so proud to have her leading our dental department and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll continue to make.

This October, our team proudly wears pink to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and stand with survivors, support those in treatment, and remember the lives touched by this disease. 🩷

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women, but early detection saves lives. Regular screenings can catch breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages. That’s why we’re passionate about spreading this message:

We’re so excited to gather in just a few days for An Evening of Promise! If you can’t join us in person, there’s still a meaningful way to be part of the evening.

Through her vision and dedication, All Kids Can has become a cornerstone of Sioux Center by helping hundreds of children access sports, arts, and extracurricular opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. Mel’s belief that “involved kids are happy and healthy kids” continues to guide this powerful ministry, breaking down financial barriers and fostering confidence and joy for local youth.
