Excited to introduce another new team member!

✨ Meet Kali ✨

Kali is a speech-language pathologist who comes to Childworks with a Bachelor’s of arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s of Art in Speech Language Pathology from the University of South Dakota. Kali has experience in treating toddlers and school-age children with articulation disorders, mixed receptive and expressive language disorders, AAC, and early language. 

Kali has resided in Sioux City for her entire life, and she plans to spend many more years here! Kali enjoys spending time with her family and her fiance, Derek. Outside of work, you can find Kali anywhere outdoors, baking a loaf of sourdough bread, or watching a game of football!

✨ Meet Katie K ✨
We are excited to announce the addition of another SLP to our team, Katie Klitz! Katie comes to Childworks with a background in both education and medical settings. Beginning her career in the school systems in Nebraska and picking up weekend shifts in a rural hospital. She has experience working with all ages, treating articulation, language and cognitive disorders. She is excited to build her clinical skills and knowledge with interests in feeding/swallowing and early language. 

Katie was born and raised in Northeast Nebraska where she currently resides with her husband Connor, her son Kroy and their dog Toby. While not at work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  

We are so excited to have her on the team!❤️

Happy International Breastfeeding Week! 🤱✨

This first week of August, we celebrate the incredible journey of breastfeeding and honor the dedication of every parent who chooses this path. We know it's a beautiful, challenging, and deeply personal experience—and that's why we're passionate about providing support.

At Childworks Therapy Clinic, we believe that a successful breastfeeding journey is about empowering both the baby and the parent. Our pediatric therapists specialize in addressing the underlying challenges that can make feeding difficult.

How we can support you:

Oral Motor Skills: We help babies develop the strength and coordination needed for an effective latch and suck.

Tongue & Lip Tie: We provide pre- and post-frenectomy therapy to improve oral function and feeding success.

Feeding Difficulties: Whether it's a weak suck, reflux, or general fussiness, our team works to make feeding a positive experience.

You don't have to navigate these challenges alone. We're here to provide expert guidance and a helping hand, so you can focus on bonding with your baby.

💙 These are outpatient therapy services provided within your child’s school
💛Services are billed through your health insurance
💙 Therapy is provided by our licensed speech-language pathologists at Childworks
💛These services are eligible to current Childworks patients, patients on our waiting list, or new patients interested in learning more about our services at Heelan Schools.
