Meet another one of our speech therapists... Ms. Marissa!

When I am not at the clinic, I love spending time with my husband and son, Nixon. We enjoy going for walks and golfing! When I have some time to myself, I love attending a yoga class or going thrifting!

Marissa is a proud yapper, always chatting, laughing, and connecting with the team. She can frequently be found at the microwave heating up her coffee for the third time by 10am. We love having Marissa's sunny personality around the clinic to brighten everyone's day!

Meet our occupational therapist... Ms. Mykenzie!

Outside of work, I love spending time playing with my kids and soaking up the moments that make family life so special. Whenever the weather is nice, you can find me outdoors going for a walk with a hot tea or iced chai in my hand. My husband and I also enjoy tackling DIY projects together, finding joy in creating things for our home.

Mykenzie is our one and only OT at Childworks. She keeps up with her busy days like a pro! Her dedication, flexibility, and warm presence make a big impact on Childworks. We love having her on our team!

Meet another therapist.... Ms. Melissa!

When I'm not at work you can find me scrolling Pinterest looking for my next DIY craft, reading a cheesy romcom, or at different workout classes! I love having a full calendar, and I am always preparing for my next trip. Shopping is always on my weekend to-do list, whether that is in town or a quick trip Omaha or Sioux Falls.

We love having Melissa's "get it done" personality and contagious smile around the office. If you can't find Melissa, check the comfy chair in Ms. Abbie's office where she loves to read her books!

Introducing another speech therapist..... Ms. Kali!

In my free time, you can usually find me cooking or baking especially whipping up fresh sourdough or making a fun iced coffee. I love to spend time with my fiancé and have enjoyed watching him play on the UNI football team the last five years. Whether I'm in the kitchen, watching the game, or watching my favorite TV show, I'm always having fun and staying busy!

Kali is known around the clinic for as "curious Kali", with her favorite phrase being "hey, quick question". In all seriousness, we love having Kali's bubbly and inquisitive personality around the clinic!

Meet another one of our therapists ...Ms. Hailey!

When I'm not at the clinic, you can find me reading a book with my dog next to me. I love trying all the crazy recipes that my coworkers send to me and having them taste-test. My husband, Justin, and I love to spend the summer months on the golf course. We are especially excited to move into a new house that has a fenced in yard for Luna, our pup!

Hi everyone! I’m Abbie Gacke, the founder and owner of Childworks Therapy Clinic. As we kick off 2026, I’ve been reflecting on how far we’ve come. What started as a small dream to serve Sioux City families has grown into a thriving practice with a team of 10 incredible Speech-Language Pathologists and 1 Occupational Therapist!

My mission has always been to provide more than just therapy—I wanted to create a space where kids and families feel seen, heard, and truly supported. We know that therapy doesn’t just happen within our clinic walls; it’s about empowering parents, building confidence, and walking alongside you through every challenge and “aha!” moment.

Thank you for trusting us with your children’s journeys. We are excited for 2026 and all the exciting things ahead!
