Rombo ‘25 is in the books! We saw over 3000 patients, donated thousands of dollars of medicine and eye glasses. 1000 Bibles were handed out and the Gospel was shared with 1400 by local pastors. The response was so great, we have committed to come back again next year for a 3 day outreach.

Huge thanks to all who helped organize and staff this event, including our own interns from Northwestern College, Iowa, as well as Sister Daria, administrator of Huruma Hospital in Rombo, Tanzania! See you soon for Rombo ‘26. Anyone interested in a medical

We love our guests’ hearts to serve. STEMM most recently hosted a family of five who showed their love in so many ways. They served in classrooms, our village and local church, and had an adventure experiencing cultures through time in Nakweni and Arusha. A family of nature lovers, they really enjoyed their waterfall hike and safari. Asante sana ( thank you very much) to our new friends from the US!

STEMM had a great time at Risefest 25 this weekend! Lots of great conversations about the work we do with potential future tripsters! Pastor Jody and Dr. Steve shared a great message about finding God in difficult moments, and it was great to connect with so many people and organizations doing God’s work in different ways . STEMM was blessed to team up with the Wentworth Africa Foundation to help distribute feminine hygiene products to local young women recently. The vowel in STEMM stands for education and we take it seriously— for all. Partnership with organizations who strive to keep girls in school is a huge part of our mission, as well. We’re thrilled to have found another in the Wentworth Africa Foundation. May God bless your efforts around Tanzania. Thank you for partnering with STEMM!

Huge thanks to all who came out in support of STEMM’s “Bands, Burgers, and Brews… for a Classroom”! Our goal was $10,000 to build a classroom and we surpassed it! Look forward to sharing pictures of it. Profound thank you to Byron Kuehl, The Ditchwater Bullfrogs, and the Huckleberries for making the night memorable! Reminder that we’re having an event on Friday! 5:30 —10:30 at Tucker Hills in Hinton. 3 bands, 3 food trucks, cash bar. $20 to get in. Let’s build a classroom in Tanzania! Supposed to be beautiful … bring your lawn chairs and we’ll open the doors! STEMM.org or pay at the door!

STEMM is thrilled to have had the chance to host Morningside University students on their May Term experience over the past week. Please mark your calendars and consider coming out to Tucker Hills Vineyards on Friday May 30, to support STEMM’s efforts to build a classroom or two in our beautiful village of Mbuguni, Tanzania. We will have 3 bands playing from 5:30–10:00 pm, 3 different food trucks, a cash bar, and great music and fun all night. We find classrooms there that will have over 100 students present in a space smaller than your garage, and the limiting factor is not teachers— it’s lack of available space. So make plans to attend… you can get tickets at the door or at the QR code on the attached sheet, or find info at STEMM.org.

Was a crazy busy start to the year at STEMM, as we hosted the Majengo outreach team( served over 700), the amazing Sunnybrook Missions team, as we aided their efforts in serving the Lepers of Kilimanjaro group, and the producers, as they effort to turn Wilson, Sadhia, and Doreen’s story ( and so many others) into a full length motion picture. Incredibly blessed by all. Looking forward to see how God continues to use STEMM in 2025.

The interviews have begun! We have some US based movie producers in town with the hope of turning Wilson, Sadhia, and Doreen’s story into a major motion picture and we’re hearing some emotional, beautiful stories from
their mamas. We’re hoping the story will share how God can turn tragedy into something beautiful through the power of relationships. If it all comes together as we hope, we’re looking for a 2026 release.
