2026 is a particularly special year for Aveanna patient Kyle because he will be attending school for the first time!

Before coming to Aveanna, Kyle was unable to attend school without a nurse due to having a trach and vent. With his dedicated Aveanna care team by his side every step of the way, Kyle can attend school, make new friends, and grow. His family can rest assured that he is safe and cared for while he experiences new and exciting things in the classroom and beyond.

January is National Birth Defects Prevention Month, a time dedicated to increasing awareness about birth defects and highlighting ways to improve the lives of those living with these conditions.

The CDC reports that each year, approximately 1 in 33 babies in the U.S. is born with a birth defect. Common examples include cleft lips, spina bifida, and congenital heart defects.
