~ MASSAGE ~
Emily is a licensed massage therapist with 900 credit hours of education from the Bio-Chi Institute of Massage Therapy. This education began with an introduction to martial arts through Qi Gong. This allowed Emily to have a foundation for her massage practice in meditation, breathwork, and movement of energy with integrity and awareness. Her education also gave her a strong background
in anatomy and physiology. From there, Emily learned deeper forms of massage through the education and practice of muscle-tendon release, specific muscle isolation, and various other modalities. Emily also likes to incorporate healing energy work through breathwork and conscious movement and opening of the body’s energy field. By working with the breath, Emily and her clients utilize the body’s natural relaxation response to find healing. With these tools, Emily hopes to help her clients find relief of pain and stress through the release of tension. By releasing this tension, Emily’s clients will reach a greater and deeper state of Well-Being.
~ YOGA CLASSES ~
In Emily’s classes, you will find an emphasis on breathwork that taps into the body’s natural healing and relaxation response. Through breathwork, relaxation, and intention, students will find an asana practice heavily influenced by Vinyasa flow and Astanga yoga, peppered by influences of Emily’s education in massage therapy, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Qi Gong. Poses will allow students to tap into the duality of this existence. Grace and discipline. Grounding and flying. This ebb and flow that comes so naturally to us as humans will guide students toward a sense of well-being and truth. Watch for classes and workshops coming soon!
