Spring arrived with a beautiful surprise at Accura HealthCare of Sioux City

We were so grateful to welcome our friends from the Goodwill Day Habilitation Center, who brightened everyone’s day with smiles and thoughtful flower deliveries for our residents. Acts of kindness like this truly capture the spirit of the season and remind us how special community connections can be. Thank you for helping us celebrate the first day of spring in such a meaningful way. Your visit brought warmth, color, and joy to our halls and plenty of happy faces along the way!

🌟 Wow! Last week we celebrated Dietary Week! 🌟
It flew by — and what a fun week it was! 🎉

Our amazing Dietary Team was treated to something special every day:
🍩 Monday: Donuts from Jitters
🍫 Tuesday: Candy Bars
🌮 Wednesday: Tacos & Nachos
🍿 Thursday: Popcorn Bags
🍕 Friday: Pizza Party!

We also enjoyed a fun “Guess Who?” board and created an adorable Caterpillar of Experience 🐛 — made up of 69 links representing the combined years of dedication from our incredible team! 👏

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Susan H. 🌟
This month, we’re excited to highlight Susan H., a valued member of our Activities Department! Susan has been spreading joy and fun here at Accura for the past 3 years. 💙
When asked what she loves most about her role, Susan shared:
✨ “I enjoy the excitement on the residents’ faces when we have an activity that they love!” 😁
Outside of work, Susan keeps life lively with her favorite hobbies—watching hockey 🏒 and having dance parties in her living room with her boys 💃🕺.
Here’s a fun fact: not everyone knows that Susan enjoys playing chess ♟️… even though she admits she’s not the best at it! 😉
