Thanks to everyone who attended another great meeting of “100+ Men & Women Who Care” Tuesday night at the new Goodwill of the Great Plains Mission Services Center in Sioux City. Thanks to Goodwill folks Briget Solomon, Charlotte Nelson and Jacob Heller for providing appetizers and drinks for our meeting. Their new building was a great place for our meeting, and our thanks to them for hosting.
We were happy to have Patrick Tomscha from our previous beneficiary, Siouxland Center for Active Generations, on hand to receive the ceremonial “big check” in recognition of the $12,800 donation our group made to them. (Photo attached with Patrick on the right, and 100+ Men & Women Who Care board member Mark Stuck on the left). Patrick shared with us information about the many services provided by the organization.
Now, on to the business from Tuesday night—three worthy nonprofits were nominated: Boys & Girls Club, Food Bank of Siouxland, and Buy Fresh, Buy Local (Sioux City Farmer’s Market). And the winner was Food Bank of Siouxland!
As usual, if you weren’t able to attend and submit your check at our meeting, write your $100 check made payable to Food Bank of Siouxland, and mail it to:

OR, there is an online donation option for Food Bank of Siouxland, available on their website. If you do the online option please put “100+ Men & Women Who Care” in the space where it says “Your Note for the Donor Scroll” and also let me know so I can keep track of our donations.
