We are excited and pleased to welcome Avery MacIntosh, PA-C to our clinical team. Avery is a board-certified physician assistant who is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages. With her training and experience in dermatology she is committed to building lasting relationships and working closely with J. Mark DeMay, MD and David J. Grote, PA-C to deliver personalized, evidence-based treatment. We’re proud to have Avery as part of our team and look forward to the dermatologic care she will provide our community.

Avery is originally from the Twin Cities area, she received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Northwestern-St Paul. She continued her education in Orange City, IA at Northwestern College where she gained her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. Her interests include both medical and aesthetic dermatological care. She believes in compassionate patient care centered around physical and emotional well-being. She currently lives in Remsen, IA with her fiancé and golden retriever. In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and visiting family in Minnesota.

It’s National Radiologic Technology Week. Did you know that German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the x-ray in 1895 and within a year it was hailed as a medical miracle? Nearly 130 years later, our radiation therapist Lindsay uses ultrasound imaging and low-level x-rays to treat patients with nonmelanoma skin cancer. We call it The GentleCure™ Experience.

Here at Dermatology Associates of Siouxland we are blessed to have the only GentleCure treatment in the Siouxland area for our patients.

Lindsay says, “Radiation therapy has always been about the patients and the relationships I get to make with the patients I treat. I want the best treatment and outcome for each and every one of my patients. My role as a Radiation Therapist with GentleCure gives me so much purpose and fulfillment in my life, and I am forever grateful for that. God has truly blessed me.
