Last week in Health and Wellness, our students stepped into the lab to put theory into practice 💪

They’re currently learning about fitness assessments and had the opportunity to assess themselves using the sit-and-reach, grip strength, and muscular endurance tests. Understanding how to measure flexibility, strength, and endurance is a key step in building lifelong health habits and interpreting fitness data with confidence.

Hands-on learning at its best!

February is Heart Month ❤️

This month, we’re highlighting the power of movement, education, and prevention in supporting lifelong heart health. Through hands-on learning and evidence-based exercise science, our Exercise & Health Sciences students are preparing to make a real impact, one heartbeat at a time.

Strong hearts aren’t built by chance. They’re built with knowledge, intention, and movement.

Last week, Exercise and Health Sciences students got hands-on in the Exercise Physiology Lab, examining how blood pressure changes in response to physical activity.

By collecting data, students connected classroom concepts to real physiological responses, building practical skills and a deeper understanding of how the body adapts to movement.

Experiences like this prepare students to think critically, apply evidence-based practices, and work confidently in health, fitness, and clinical settings.
