BREAKING NEWS FROM DAKOTA VASCULAR

After years of keeping it top secret, our ultrasound tech Josh finally let Dr. Nissen tag along to his favorite fishing spot. With temps at a crisp 25 degrees, they were moments away from calling it a day when Dr. Nissen said, "One last cast…”

That last cast landed an impressive 29.5” walleye, though if you ask Dr. Nissen, it was “definitely 32 inches” until Josh brought out the measuring tape to keep things honest.

There was almost a full vascular exam performed on the fish before Josh reminded him, “Hey… it doesn’t have an appointment.”

Great catch, gentlemen!

-What do you love about working at Dakota Vascular? Everyone is so welcoming! I love that everyone does their very best for each and every patient day in and day out!

-Tell us about your Family: My husband is Andy and he is a Medical Analyst for the United States Postal Service. We have 4 kids: Alizah (21), Haylie (19), Jaxon (17), and Quinn (13).

-Do you have any pets? One German Shorthair Pointer named Milly (5)

-Hometown: Worthington, MN

-What is your hidden talent? Not completely hidden, but I can play the flute and crochet blankets and hats.

-What is your favorite team sport or hobby? I love MN professional sports (Vikings, Wild, Twins). Personally, I love to play volleyball, golf, and go hiking!

-What is your favorite vacation spot? Florida and Vancouver, Canada

-What is your favorite restaurant? La Plaza Fiesta

-What are three things on your bucket list? Only 3?! 1. To visit all the United States National Parks. 2. To run a half marathon 3. To go on a month-long cruise that starts in Syndney Australia, stops in Japan and Alaska, and ends in Seattle.

-What kind of music do you like? Mostly Oldies (60-70's)

-Any books you recommend? Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass

-Do you volunteer or serve on any community organizations? I help with different serve initiatives through my local church.
