Each and every day we as humans have this awesome opportunity, it's called learning. We can and do learn (even the smallest of things). It also is not going to be perfect, nor expect it to be...that is why it is called learning...not perfectionism.

Being oneself, our authentic self, encompasses acknowledging the flaws, imperfections and mistakes we have made. We are human...

A person should not be defined by their mistakes, yet so often, others perceptions, judgements and expectations are placed on individuals, causing the individual to internally question themself, their worth, "am I enough".

Mistakes are apart of us, our history...often times, these very same "mistakes" are what have helped us grow into who we are today, with reflection and choosing YOU :)

Stress, chaos or challenges can send one's mind into racing thoughts, which often lead to increased emotional symptoms and behavioral responses, not always healthy.

Our calm mind, something we can access, can assist us in these moments...helping us regulate our emotions where they are (not further escalate), give our brain (cognition) an opportunity to adjust back to the moment/event at hand and assist in healthier decision making.

The key to accessing our calm mind is to practice the following:
Pause
Take a deep breath (think of your breath pushing your hand away from your lower abdomen)
Exhale
Now, ask yourself what the main stressor is that is needing to be addressed at this time.

Allowing oneself 60-90 seconds to access the Calm Mind is important, not only in managing stress, but also in recognizing your worth in allowing yourself that time to regulate your thoughts/emotions, as you, your emotions, your cognition, your calm mind are yours to manage, not anyone else's.
