In honor of World Parkinson's Day, we're sharing Bob's story. After his diagnosis, he felt like giving up. But his daughter challenged him to fight back. Through Rock Steady Boxing at The Inn on Westport, a community managed by The Goodman Group, Bob regained his strength and found purpose helping others face their diagnosis with courage. Our life enrichment team member, Stacey, shared a family heirloom with our residents last week.

This heirloom was a book called “White Gloves and Party Manners.” It is a timeless guide to proper behavior in social settings, published in 1965. 📔

It teaches universal manners that are still relevant today while covering a wide range of topics, including eating etiquette, car etiquette, table manners and how to act with adults and others. 🍽️

Stacey put together a beautiful high tea party for the residents to put their manners to good use. She hosted a small cooking show on how to put together the tea sandwiches she served, along with a fun quiz on tea etiquette and white gloves for all to wear. 🫖
