Each year, we celebrate LUNG FORCE's to raise awareness for lung cancer. Sioux Falls’ Mayor, Paul TenHaken, issued a proclamation recognizing next week as Turquoise Takeover. "Raising awareness and funds for lung cancer is more important than ever. The “Saved by the Scan” campaign is making a difference. In fact, more than 750,000 Americans have learned if they are at high risk for lung cancer through the online quiz.

With the help of our Health Promotions Manager, Heidi, they will ask members of Congress to support funding at the National Institutes of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as to make quality healthcare more affordable for millions of Americans by making the expanded premium tax credits permanent. “South Dakota kids need protective laws today. The Lung Association urges the legislature to take action and end the sale of all flavored to***co products, including menthol cigarettes,” said Molly, our Advocacy Director, in response to the recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration's announcement that it is delaying a court-ordered deadline to make decisions regarding which flavored e-cigarettes and other to***co products can stay on the market.
