🍎 Apple Turkey Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash 🍎

This recipe is bursting with all the flavors of fall and is straight out of The 5 Essentials to Real Health book.

Ingredients:
▶️ 3 acorn squash
▶️ Avocado or coconut oil
▶️ Dried Italian seasoning
▶️ Sea salt
▶️ Cayenne pepper, optional
▶️ 1 lb mild Italian turkey or chicken sausage
▶️ 1 small onion, finely diced
▶️ 2 ribs celery, finely diced
▶️ 1 large Granny Smith apple, diced
▶️ 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese, optional (leave out for a dairy-free alternative)

Ingredients:
🎃 ½ cup pumpkin puree
🥛 1 cup coconut milk (or milk of choice)
🍌 1 frozen banana
🫙 ½ tsp cinnamon
🫚 ½ tsp ginger (or 1 drop ginger essential oil)

Your immune system is your body’s personal defense team—always on guard, fighting off sickness, repairing cells, and keeping you healthy. But here’s something many people don’t realize: your immune system and your nervous system are deeply connected.

The nervous system (your brain, spinal cord, and nerves) is the “command center” that controls every function in your body—including immune responses. When the spine is misaligned, it can interfere with how the nervous system communicates with the rest of the body. This added stress can weaken your immune defenses and make it harder for your body to adapt, heal, and protect itself.

Superfoods refer to foods that are especially nutrient-dense and provide significant health benefits. These foods are usually rich in:

✅ Antioxidants (help protect cells from damage)
✅ Vitamins & minerals (support overall body function)
✅ Healthy fats (good for brain and heart health)
✅ Fiber (supports digestion and blood sugar balance)

But there’s no single food that magically makes you healthy. “Superfoods” are most powerful when eaten as part of a balanced, whole-food diet - such as Max Living’s Advanced or Core Plan!

Here’s a great salad that includes several superfoods and is advanced plan approved!

SUPERFOODS SALAD
Ingredients (serves 2–3):
▫️2 cups baby kale or spinach
▫️½ cup blueberries
▫️½ cup broccoli florets, chopped
▫️½ avocado, diced
▫️2 Tbsp pomegranate seeds
▫️2 Tbsp walnuts or almonds, chopped
▫️1 Tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds
▫️Grilled salmon or chicken
Dressing:
▫️2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
▫️1 tsp lemon juice
▫️1 tsp apple cider vinegar
▫️Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a large bowl, add greens and layer other ingredients on top.

🥣✨ Bone Broth is full of high quality nutrients! ✨🥣

Why we love it:
💪 Strong joints
🌿 Happy gut
🛡️ Immune boost
💆‍♀️ Glowy skin & hair

Here’s how to make Bone Broth at home 👇

What you need
🦴 Bones (3–4 lb): chicken or beef
💦 Cold water: enough to cover bones by 1–2 inches.
🍎 Apple cider vinegar: 1–2 tbsp (helps draw minerals).
🧅 Aromatics (optional): 1 onion (halved), 2 carrots, 2 celery ribs, 2–4 garlic cloves, 1–2 bay leaves, a few peppercorns.
🥘 Equipment: slow cooker; fine-mesh strainer; jars.

Instructions:
1️⃣ For deeper flavor, roast bones at 425°F for 30–45 min (chicken 20–30 min).
2️⃣ Add bones and aromatics to the crock pot. Pour in cold water to cover by 1–2 inches. Add 1–2 tbsp ACV. Let sit 20–30 min.
3️⃣ Cook on LOW - chicken 10–18; beef 16–24
4️⃣ Turn off heat. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer. Salt at the end to taste.

Sip it straight or sneak it into soups & sauces — easy peasy! 🙌

💪Immune Boosting Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup kale or spinach
½ cucumber, peeled
1 cup pineapple (or kiwi)
1 frozen banana
2-inch piece of fresh ginger (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
1-cm k**b of fresh turmeric (or ½ tsp turmeric powder)
1 cup milk of choice
Optional: 1 tbsp raw local honey
1 scoop MaxLiving Protein powder (of choice)
