Meet Elizabeth “Libby” Benson, Au.D.
Dr. Benson joined Baker Audiology & Hearing Aids in May 2022, following her graduation from the University of Northern Colorado with her Doctorate of Audiology. Originally from Pipestone Minnesota, she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of South Dakota before moving to Colorado to complete her graduate education. In 2021, she was delighted to return to her old stomping grounds to fulfill her yearlong residency at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. Dr. Benson is now eager to provide hearing healthcare to patients in the private sector. Her clinical interests include diagnostics, hearing aids, and implantable devices. Dr. Benson enjoys all aspects of hearing aid fitting, from candidacy to follow-up. Building relationships with her patients is her favorite part of the job.

Dr. Benson and her husband, Nathan, are the parents to their baby girl, Ada Lynn, and two dogs: Ruby and Theo. Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Benson snuggling her baby, working on home improvement projects, traveling, spoiling her niece and nephews, and spending time with friends and family.

We’re starting the new year by clearing up a common hearing myth. Many people think there’s nothing you can do about hearing loss, but that isn’t always true.

It's funny how travel costs money, but makes us richer. Keep your brain younger, maintain good hearing health.

Winter colds can make your ears feel blocked or cause muffled hearing. Paying extra attention to ear care during the season helps them bounce back more quickly.

A stuffy nose, sore throat and headache are symptoms of a cold. A cold virus also can cause fluid buildup in the middle ear, affecting your hearing.
