Last night we wrapped up our 2024–2025 residency and fellowship year with a big mix of goodbyes and new beginnings!

We said a heartfelt goodbye to our fellow, Dr. Mai, and our two residents, Dr. Rivet and Dr. Purser—though we’re thrilled that Dr. Rivet isn’t going far. She’s officially joining the Vance Thompson Vision team as our newest optometrist!

We’re also thrilled to welcome our incoming doctors: residents Dr. Gabrielle Anderson and Dr. Jake Ward, and fellow Dr. Natalia Morales. We’re so excited to have them on our team and can’t wait to see what this next year brings.

Our Sioux Falls location is home to both our ophthalmology fellowship and optometry residency programs. Here, our doctors get hands-on experience in cataract, refractive, corneal, and glaucoma care. These programs are all about teamwork, learning, and growing together to serve our patients!

1 cup of of spinach (loaded with lutein & zeaxanthin)

½ cup blueberries (rich in antioxidants)

½ of an orange (vitamin C boost)

1/4 of an avocado (healthy fats)

1 medium carrot (high in beta-carotene for vitamin A)

1 tablespoon chia seeds (omega-3's for retina health)

½ cup coconut water or almond milk (hydration + smooth texture)

Optional
½ banana (for natural sweetness & potassium)

A few ice cubes
