π Time for our annual Summer fun Medicaid discount roundup! This has been updated for 2026, and some prices and offerings have changed!
βοΈ With the weather heating up and school coming to a close, we've all got our eye on SUMMER! Unfortunately, the cost of summer activities can really add up quickly, but if you've got Medicaid, there are some wonderful discounts!
π¦ You can get Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium daily admission for $7 per person through their "Zoo for All" program with proof of Medicaid or other assistance when you purchase ahead of time online. Admission is $9 per person at the gate. Families from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota are eligible for this discounts: πhttps://greatzoo.org/zoo-for-all
ππ»ββοΈ Through the city of Sioux Falls, you can get pool passes at a 50% discount (for an annual family pass, that's a $145 savings). For daily admission into the Midco Aquatic Center (Spring-Winter) you can get in for $1 per person when you present your Medicaid card and ID. If you have an infant/child/person swimming with a disability, you are able to get a "companion" (other than yourself) in for FREE. π€ΈββοΈ At the Westside Recreation Center, families can get 50% off daily admission and monthly or annual memberships (that's a discount of $325 for an annual membership). π¦ At The Children's Museum of South Dakota, families with Medicaid are eligible for an annual pass for just $36.80 or a daily admission rate of $3 per person, up to 6 people. ποΈ If you or your child has a lifelong disability, you are eligible for an America the Beautiful: The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Access Pass. With this pass, you'll be able to visit any National Park for free, as long as you have your child (the pass holder) with you. Parks in our state include Mt.
