November 15, 2025: VFW “Sport Clips Help A Hero” Scholarship - spring semester
February 15, 2026: VFW Auxiliary Continuing Education Scholarship
March 1, 2026: VFW Scout of the Year (recognition award, not monetary)
March 31, 2026: VFW Auxiliary Illustrating America
March 31, 2026: VFW Auxiliary Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest
March 31, 2026: VFW Auxiliary 3-Dimensional Patriotic Art Contest
April 30, 2026: The VFW's “Sport Clips Help A Hero” Scholarship - fall semester

Please promote these scholarships, contests and awards, which benefit children as young as five through adults continuing their education beyond high school.

This is the New “alternative” membership hat that passed at the National Convention. Keep in mind this is the Ball Cap Authorized for members to wear in meetings as members. Officers will still be required to wear the Garrison Cover during their official duties. They should be available to order this December.

VFW Johns Bliss Post 628

In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, VFW Post 628 will be close until further notice. All meetings (including Post and Aux) activities and events thru the end of April 2020 are canceled pending further notice. The health of our employees, members and community is our main concern, we appreciate your understanding in this decision. We will have limited office staff monitoring our phones to assist our members and Veterans
