Here’s a little behind-the-scenes of my life on a good day.

I’ve dealt with IBS, acne, and long stretches of chronic fatigue and stress — the kind that keeps your nervous system stuck in fight-or-flight and quietly runs your body into the ground. I tried prescriptions and topical acne meds for years, and for me personally, they made things worse.

If any of that sounds familiar, here are a few things that have genuinely helped me feel better in my own body:

• Wellness IVs once or twice a month (Myers’ Cocktail is my go-to)
• Glutathione — a powerful antioxidant that supports detox pathways
• Red light therapy — huge for easing the tension I hold in my body

All of this is complementary to the basics I don’t skip: nervous system care, sleep, movement, and bodywork. I’m not a gatekeeper. If something supports your regulation and recovery, I think it’s worth exploring — thoughtfully, and with the right guidance.

If you’ve found something that’s helped your nervous system or energy levels, I’d love to hear what’s worked for you.

S/o to:
•Vital Flow Infusions
•Year Round Brown
•Agua Fresh

What People Don’t Realize About Massage Therapy:

We’re Highly Trained
(Not Just ā€œGood With Our Handsā€)

One of the biggest misconceptions about massage therapy is that it’s mostly intuition or ā€œbeing good with your hands.ā€

In reality, becoming a licensed massage therapist requires a deep understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, pathology, contraindications, ethics, and the nervous system. We’re trained to recognize when touch is appropriate, when it isn’t, and how to work with the body in a way that supports healing instead of aggravating underlying issues.

A good massage isn’t random.
There’s intention behind where we work, how we work, and why we choose certain techniques over others. We’re reading posture, muscle tone, breathing patterns, guarding, tension patterns, and often what the nervous system is communicating—all in real time.

And beyond the physical side, there’s the human side.
We’re trained to work with people who are in pain, stressed, burnt out, grieving, or disconnected from their bodies. That takes presence, boundaries, and emotional intelligence…not just pressure.

So when you’re on the table, you’re not just receiving touch.
You’re receiving skilled care from someone who’s been trained to understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

Massage therapy is a profession.
And it deserves to be seen that way.

Why I’m Using This Page to Talk About Massage Therapy (For Real)

This page exists to highlight the depth, skill, and professionalism behind massage therapy. The work in this field runs deeper than most people realize, and this is a space to talk openly about what quality bodywork actually involves without watering it down. I’ll also share products and digital resources I personally use or genuinely recommend to support sustainable care for the body and nervous system.

I’m a licensed massage therapist, educator, and leader in this field. I work hands-on with bodies every day. I teach students the skills and ethics behind this work, and I support therapists navigating burnout, boundaries, and the emotional weight that comes with being in a hands-on profession.

Massage therapy is not ā€œjust relaxation.ā€
It’s anatomy, kinesiology, nervous system regulation, trauma-aware care, and skilled touch layered together in real time with real humans.

What I care about:
• raising the standard of professionalism in this industry
• helping clients understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface
• supporting therapists as whole humans, not just service providers
• advocating for ethical, safe, skilled bodywork

This page will be a space for honest insight into the realities of massage therapy, the nervous system, boundaries, burnout, and what quality care actually looks like- along with products, courses, and practical tools that are actually helpful in real life.

If you’re a client, I hope this helps you better understand the work you receive.
If you’re a therapist or student, I hope you feel seen here.
If you’re just curious about the human side of wellness work, you’re welcome here too.

This isn’t about being loud.
It’s about being clear, offering support, validation and grounded perspective.
