MYTH: Chiropractors just crack backs

Although the chiropractic adjustment is a big part of what we do, it is much more than "cracking backs". A spinal manipulation or chiropractic adjustment is the act of using high velocity low amplitude force to induce movement into an otherwise restricted joint. The "cracking" or "popping" noises that can happen are due to a gas release in those joints. This is a specific therapy to help your joints move through their full range of motion.
