Did you know today is National Dog Day! What a wonderful day to be at Stoneybrook Suites! We were so fortunate to have West Falls Family Pups bring puppies by for a visit to hold and snuggle! As one of our residents said, “There is not one face in here that isn’t smiling!” Thank you Rebekah for coming by and please come again!! Now, to convince the boss that we need a Stoney puppy!!! Is there a Dr in the house? There is now!! Stoneybrook is excited to welcome Dr Rees and his team! We are offering the option of seeing a geriatric doctor right in our facility; their home! The team met with our residents and families to go over any questions they may have! Thank you for making healthcare easier for them!

We’ve been busy! That’s my excuse for posting late! 😜 We played noodle fishing which was a lot of fun! Emil was the most successful fisherman! We also played trivia twister. That is always fun to see what we know and don’t know! After the game was over, we sat around and asked trivia questions about our residents. I think we need to do this more often! Fun to get to know each other. Yesterday, we had our Country Store. Great participation and got some much needed dollars back so we have more to hand out!!

We played a new game; Newspaper Race. We put them into 3 teams. The first round they just needed to get the paper through the fastest by using only there feet. The second round had a cup sitting on it and they couldn’t tip over the cup. If they did, they had to start over. The third was much harder…a bowling pin. The 2nd and 3rd round took quite a bit of concentration!After 3 rounds the score was Flamingos -1, Bluebirds - 1 and Canaries - 1. Ran a third race and the Flamigos came out on top!! It was not to bad for our first try!!
