We’re excited to announce the First Annual Early Childhood Conference — “Siceca Unkitawapi Icahwicunyapi ka Was’agwicunyapi” (Together We Strengthen and Raise Our Children) happening September 25–26, 2025 at the Dakota Magic Convention Center in Hankinson, ND!
This event is open to Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate early childhood programs, families of children enrolled in the early childhood programs, local preschools, any local daycare providers, and partner organizations that collaborate with our tribal programs. The conference is free to attend.
Topics include early brain development, child-led play, trauma-informed care, technology in the early years, cultural parenting practices, and more.
