A lot of things happening here on our little piece of earth.

This year you will find our baked goods at the Johnson County Farmers Market as well as Lawrence County Farmers Market.

Once I have those dates I will let you know.

We are hoping to have veggies and eggs as well.

Along with that we will be holding a monthly "crafting" class here at the house. Each month we will be making something new.

For example: Non-toxic laundry soap,
Non-toxic dish soap, candles,
soaps,
salts,
sugars,
shaving cream,
natural bug be gone spray,
etc.

We've even discussed holding some classes to teach how to make things like healthy mayonnaise or ranch dressing, granola etc. We will see how much interest we have.

There will be a charge per class to cover supplies. Each month I will schedule the class and add the cost to the post.

We are praying and hoping to open a Non-toxic store front at some point this year. If God allows, we will be learning about herbs and teas as well once a month in the store front. Please join me in praying that if this be God's will that he will open the doors.
Thank you.

So for this month, we are going to be holding a class on making Non-toxic laundry detergent.

This class will cost $10.00 a person. We will discuss all the toxins that are in laundry soaps you buy at the store and what effect they can habe in your daily lives. Each individual will take the recipe and a bag of detergent home with them.

Looking for a name for our in home bakery...

So far we've been given these ideas.....
1. Grandma's Sweets
2. Kitchen Treats
3. Down Home Treats
4. Nana's Treats.

Everything is baked from scratch. Mostly coffee hour type treats, sweet breads, yeast breads, muffins, cookies etc.

What are some other ideas? A&A farms doesn't say "baked goods", but do you think we should keep that name? We do sell crafts n eggs as well....what do you folks think? 😊

Hello again folks. Had a little hiccup in the arrival of my new license for the Bakery, however, that has been solved and it has arrived. They have informed me that my label for my baked donuts can not say "donut" it has to read "mini cakes" 😊 Alrighty, No problem. Correction made!

So, currently I am looking for local events and markets to be apart of. That is going to be the easiest way for me to get my name out there locally.

I am planning to attend the Johnson county Farmers Market meetings this next week and then the Lawrence county market meeting in May.

I have reached out to Red River gorge Market to get information on them as well. If you know of any, please feel free to drop me a message.

I am currently take any orders for meetings, special occasions, holidays and events via messenger or text. 231-676-4146.

I've spoke with Adam about getting a bakery/farmers stand put out front here on the farm. I will keep you updated on that.

I am looking for local honey processors, I like to use honey in some of my baked goods. Also will be offering some healthier alternatives to some of my products.

Due to an illness in the household I have to reschedule my re-opening.

I do not bake when there's an illness within the household and I wait a few days past to be sure no one else ends up sick before I resume baking.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Anyone need some chick's? Lol. Hatched these 12 I have 7 more pipping. Dad is Rhode Island red. Mom's are either Sussex, Orpington, Copper Maran and Rhode Island Red.

So consider these "farm chicks" They will eat the bugs and the hens will lay beautiful eggs. Straight-run.

Good morning. I'm jumping in here today to let you all know that I am closing my in home bakery.

This wasn't an easy decision, however after coming down with some health issues and the realization it's the choices in food that helped me get to where I am that brought me to this decision. I'm on a very strict 6 month routine and part of that is keeping ALL unhealthy items out of my home. We always have baked goods and I eat them, so this is actually a life choice I had to make.

Thank you for your understanding and for the support you folks have given me over the last 12 years. I am forever grateful.

I do still make my all natural products, however, selling them in Kentucky the rules are far more restrictive, so I'm thinking about just offering classes to teach folks how to make their own, why it's important to get the chemicals out and where to get the best sourced items.

If you think you'd be interested in mini sessions once a month, let me know. I'll have to work out some wrinkles but I'm thinking this is the cheapest n easiest way for others to learn how to make their own non-toxic products. During this health journey I'm currently on, I've fund that quite literally every chemical in everything in our homes has a major effect on our heart. Crazy to think they've put things in even our clothing that can harm us, but it's true.

Though we can't fix it all at once, each little thing we do brings us closer to amazing health.

Once again, thank you so much for all the love and support. Have a wonderful day.
