Featured as one of the top five traditional yoga studios in New Jersey by New Jersey Life magazine, Princeton Center for Yoga & Health (also known as Princeton Yoga and PCYH) is an independently owned and operated yoga and holistic health center located just 5 minutes from downtown Princeton. Established in 1996, PCYH was the first yoga center in this area and is honored that the community continues to look to the Center for their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. A full schedule of yoga classes, holistic programs, training seminars and services are offered mornings, evenings and weekends. We focus primarily on the yoga of physical postures, Hatha Yoga, offering classes in Ashtanga, Power Vinyasa, Kripalu, Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Vinyasa Krama, Yin Yoga, and Soma styles. They all increase flexibility, enhance strength, boost stamina, and increase awareness of our bodies and ourselves as we release muscle tension, create a sense of calm and peace, and feel rejuvenated. One is distinguished from another in how postures are taught and sequenced, and integrated with other yogic disciplines such as breath control (pranayama) and meditation. We encourage students to sample styles and teachers. Our schedule also includes meditation, breath control (pranayama), Gentle Yoga, Yoga for Core Strength, Yoga for Stress Reduction, concerts, drumming circles, teacher trainings, and more. We also work with and offer Young Living 100% Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils as a holistic and planet healthy support for health and well-being. We work with a strong upline of passiionate and knowdegable consultants who have spent many years working with YL oils. Here at PCYH, yoga is not simply a form of exercise, it is a life practice. By establishing a regular practice, you can realize a deepening connection with your spirit. Each class deepens your connection to your true self. We recommend that you sample a variety of approaches and teachers. Mix a softer, more inner-directed style (Kripalu, Yin Yoga, Gentle Yoga) with one that’s moderate or vigorous (Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Hot Yoga). Or, try a specialty class like Yoga for Health or Yoga for Rejuvenation. If you’re not sure which class to take, you’ve got options! Call us for a personalized recommendation, or use the sampler package or pass option and pick classes that fit your schedule. Disclaimer
