Celebrating 3 years with Vanessa Hernandez at Citadel of Skokie! 🌟

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, Vanessa takes pride in being part of a team that values professionalism, support, and compassion. She has built strong relationships with residents over the years and finds meaning in showing up each day ready to provide thoughtful, dependable care. Helping others and making people better continues to motivate her.

Her advice for anyone entering healthcare is simple: β€œDo your job with love and passion. When you care about what you do, the work feels rewarding.”

One of her favorite memories was last summer’s staff celebration, when the team came together for a water balloon fight. It was a fun break from the usual routine and a reminder of how connected and supportive the team is.

If she had to describe her journey in one word, it would be β€œtrusting.” Vanessa credits Adam, Administrator, for seeing her potential and encouraging her to take the next step. That support gave her the confidence to grow and continue pushing herself.

β€œI love my job. It is satisfying to know I can make an impact and that people trust me,” she shares.
